Kalvari Class Submarines - Updates & Discussions

Continued from previous post....

Once the engine is installed the hull sections can be joined.

Despite the engine being in place the propeller and the shaft are installed after the hull assembly.

Of course the sensor suite isn't there yet. The sonars and other sensors would be installed during outfitting in the dry dock after the assembly.

The photo above is that of recently commissioned INS Karanj (S23) during its construction without the sonar.

Another indian Scorpene class submarine detected and tracked as soon as it entered Pakistans EEZ .
This supposed to be the quietest and most modern submarine on the IN arsenal, so what gives?

It depends on what it was trying to achieve. Maybe it wasn't trying to hide. Or it was just showing enough presence to see how and when it would get detected. It's cute how the Pakistanis think everything is either black or white.

Yes very cute.
On the other hand India searched for 21 days and couldn't find Pakistans Agosta.

U can think for yourself ..

IN has Scorpene & P8i .
PN has Agosta with AIP & P3C.

Yes, after accounting for the entire PN, one sub went missing. And I bet in those 21 days, it was the most docile sea creature to ever exist, even more stationary than a rock.

If this is true then, PNS has got some good submariners.

This submarine went to gwadar and hid behind a ship. It could not be detected as it never sailed out.

I love how you lads believe anything from indian media which is remotely positive. Everything else is RAAAWWW.

More like they hid their subs inside their bases as they have always done.

You should have read the article before posting jenaab. They found your sub in 21 days and it was hiding in Gwadar like always delusional cowards

"After 21 days of an extensive search, the Indian Navy finally located the PNS Saad on the western side of Pakistan. It was sent there for hiding, to ensure a covert capability in case of extension in hostilities in the aftermath of the Balakot airstrikes."

It was caught as it transmitted a signal and that was picked up by us and analised as being from this sub.

India has applied for extension of EEZ, however I have not found no news so far for its technical data acceptance.

Their's was resolved since there's no conflicting claims with any other country. The same is not the case with India, since we have other islands and neighbours that share space with our EEZ.

Our claim areas in the BoB blocks off the entire sea north of Sri Lanka, except from the ASEAN side.
