I'm sure you are not saying this as a Tamil wanting a Tamil PM. But really, a PM who has the perception of massive corruption (him, his son) and who cannot speak Hindi, the Congress would have lost before they can begin.
Like it or not (I frankly do not mind it), it will have to be Rahul.
His mother is seen as a foreigner. Understandable.
But he is a pure Indian.
The Congress also lost because of a weak rubberstamp PM who was seen to be silent.
Chiddu will not be as weak. But there is no way he will buck the family either. Which in the eyes of the public is the same thing.

Shocker, another one of GND's threads rapidly devolved into a Congress 2019 wet dream post. All this huff and puff is until Karnataka elections. Once Congress falls out of power there, they won't even have the money left to go punch for punch with BJP in later 2018 or LS polls.
And anyone taking the Gujarat results as some sort of massive point of inflection is either badly mistaken about the situation, or guilty of wishful thinking. It was a warning shot by Gujaratis not to take their votes for granted and to show that they weren't too pleased about DeMo and GST in quick succession. Nothing else, come LS polls, it'll be back to normal.

It's pretty clear you're not a fan of BJP's politics, especially the parts that are increasingly "saffronist." But if you have a problem with massive incompetence, corruption and an anti-Indian stance; there's frankly zero excuse to vote Congress.
And no thanks, it's the same old Congress trap of having a leader belonging to any particular demographic just for the sake of having him/her around to fill some quota, as a token of sorts. If there's a young leader with merit, bring him, there's no need for having a young leader who's an idiot, just for the sake of having a young leader. The last thing India needs is a Justin Trudeau.
And let's be clear, it's been ages since Congress stood for any kind of Hindutva at all; so if you want to vote Congress, sure, its' your democratic right, but please don't try to dress it up as something it isn't.

But nope, not pissed, because I know it's coming. They'd be stupid not to milk it and build it at the absolute perfect moment for maximum political gain though. It's just smart politics. Not to mention, when your agenda is already considered so divisive (fairly or unfairly), you can't just begin implementing it full steam from day 1.
