I remember one of my acquaintances who went to Aero India telling me that it was an older model hurriedly put on display for the event.
Depending on event they refurbish the existing models if those are regarded ok for the event use. basically prior to expo , the lab would form a committee that decide if existing models can be sent or need new model. If you visit ADA campus and get pass for all technical areas you might see many are kept there year long , some in display hall and some in storage.

Isn't the last date of submission for the EOI August 2025, so the contract could be signed by next year, still within the 2033-2034 timeframe.
I just hope HAL doesn't get this. I would rather have some consortium made of private companies take this contract.

This is good ... But AMCA should include two SWBs( Side Weapon Bay) for WVR missiles
Please check the latest aaj tak video shot from ada campus , banglore. In starting few minutes there's a shot of amca's cooling systems and actuator assemblies .
Or may be it'll create oblique wedge shock wave which reduces the air flow speed w.r.t. launched weapon hence lower turbulence.
