Typical desi media, lol.

But the news is legit. Su-30MKI replacement aka AHCA is a lock now. IAF wasn't worried about J-20 but Chinese unveiling J-36 & J-50 simultaneously has ruffled some feathers within. They know that AMCA can't take on these Chinese birds. So AHCA was given a go ahead. That is why we are looking at a VCE engine for AMCA so that it could be uprated for AHCA as well.
your words about AHCA are as real as AMCA in 2007

Maybe. But India of 2025 is very different from India of 2007. Our MIC and aviation-complex is lot more mature than what it was in 2007. Only fly in the ointment is not having a 5th/6th gen jet engine. But the way we're actively looking for a JV for it amidst our goal of strategic independence it is only a matter of time before we acquire it. Aerodynamics and avionics are least of our problems. Once we get the required engine in the next decade then AHCA would have much protracted timelines vis-a-vis our previous jet programmes.

Some changes in the aircraft likely? Hopefully the MTOW is increased.
Can not tell since I do not have much knowledge or idea on this stuff

I hope in new design changes there will be stealth sapphire dome cover for IRST just like the EOTS system under the nose... and also at least 6 hard points inside the IWB ( internal weapon bay) for AAM missiles... I don't know about the DAS system configuration in AMCA.
Hopefully slightly enlarged IWBs to carry six BVRAAMs. I don't like the concept of AMCA with just 4 BVRs.
There is some iwb related work , besides the fuselage work.

A likely development curve I think others can also guess/understand here is that all this work is based on amca mk1 baseline stealth jet with f414 engine (which is not exactly stealth optimised possibly). So future expansion/rework on the design of the main jet can be done once a stable amca mk1 is made and flown + have good confidence in the performance. That should take at last 12-15 years from now. Then we shall see.
