In your opinion, do the Pak armed forces fear our armed forces? If so, then the events of 27th and why did-they-do-what-they-did needs greater scrutiny and analysis.
I have a friend (whose brother is a brigadier in the IA) and he said that PA is afraid of the IA. Do you agree, Sir?
Men in Uniform fear not even death, the creator maybe, having said that, why-they-did-what-they-did was not for us, it
was for the domestic audience back home, a population with growing adolescents, able minds and young bodies, people who need
faith in their forces AND FORCES THAT WILL NEED THOSE SAME PEOPLE (recruitment etc), post musharraf the army hadnt seen as many fan-boys till now.
Please also understand the "big brother" had okayed the events of the 27th, with their support and push the image of "naya pakistan: made
a giant splash, "swift retort" became a poster for the "islamic countries under oppression" and China proved it was laying a string of "jagged" pearls around us all along.
Focusing on the fear you mentioned, the master planner Sun Tzu, who we owe due credit to in terms of all doctrines said one must "Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak", right now we are mastering that, the world did not come to Pakistan's rescue and mediate as they feared war, they stepped in knowing what precedent India might set in its wake, destabilizing more than just one neighbor.
We have miles to go as a force, time has always grounded us when we have flown high (mi17,an32), its time we adopt
the doval route more, subduing the enemy without a fight.
The PA is not afraid, they are war tested each day, as i write this, their men are probably in a gunfight somewhere bearing faith in what they do as gods work and death as the prize of humanity (dont look down on this, it only makes them harder), the IA has history as
its witness(need i say more), what fun is a fight when your opponent doesn't bring a bite.
