It is frankly disgusting to me that the first thing the BJP did not do after coming to power was start building the temple.
If that was not a slap on the collective face of Hindus around the world from this man and his party, I do not know what harder slap can there be.
And I say this as a guy who is not a Hindu. But believe in your God given right to have a temple there. Bollocks to legalities and political niceties.

True. For the first time , they've had to cough up taxes and fear an IT summons . And they owe this to a fellow bania . How else do you think they'd react ? Patriotism after all is cheering our soldiers at the border or standing to attention to the national anthem in a cinema hall not about paying your taxes or keeping the country clean or any such constructive initiatives taken by the incumbent government . That needs to be followed only to the extent it doesn't inconvenience us
I definitely don't think so. I come from TN so I know. In comparison to horrendously corrupt people like Karunanidhi and Jaya he was a true shining light. In case you don't know about him:
He comes from a very wealthy Industrial family. Extremely rich. He studied law and then went to Harvard Business School for his MBA. That is actually genesis of his political problems. Most corruption allegations against him are cooked by subramania swamy his biggest rival. See swamy is another Ivy Leaguer (Yale and then studied at Harvard). He is generally arrogant because he considers most illiterate and idiotic politicians of the south to be inferior morons (he's probably right). But he can't say that about another Ivy leaguer so his hatred for Chiddu is very intense. And he is bitchy and uses corruption etc. are as tools to attack his opponents, especially Chiddu. A lot of this BS is because of him.
