Ukraine - Russia Conflict

It needs to be pushed to 6% by the end of the decade. Naturally, other NATO members have to up theirs to 3% by then.

So they weren't ready to defend a frontline airfield with multiple Su-27s on it in the middle of a full blown conflict?

Doesn't seem to have been deployed.

The UAF must have used that air space for transit 'cause of lack of SAM presence in the area.

There are always SAMs around that are not deployed or are in transit themselves.

Weird for this to be a thing.

Putin made a fool of himself. He depicted himself as a dishonest madman by completely changing historical facts. No one will deal with him now.

It was true though. That's how Hitler annexed most of Europe up to the Soviet border before he invaded. Only Poland fought back. Norway too.

I mean, it was still all fvcked up, totally indefensible, but I think it's being taken out of context.

Basically Hitler wanted to "peacefully" conquer all of Europe. :p

So not Israeli missiles, or French jets then? ;)

There are some exceptions, but 70% of our ground forces is Russian, and we are replacing those with Indian systems.

This is the first time in 60+ years that we are not inducting a major Russian system in large numbers. By their yardstick, we should currently be negotiating for artillery guns, MLRS, new tank, IFV etc to replace M36, Grad, T-72, BMP-2 etc. That's about 6000 guns and vehicles. But pretty much all that's gonna be Indian now, more or less.

No, it wasn't true at all. Poland was not allied to Hitler, Germany and the USSR invaded Poland to begin the war. The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact was the only pact of actual aggression rather than non-aggression. It should also be noted that while some Ukrainians sided with Hitler to get rid of Communism after the Nazi invasion, >1 million Russians did the same. it should also be noted that Zelensky's grandparents were burnt alive by the Nazis.

All the high-tech stuff is moving to Western systems, having seen that Russian systems don't work.

It's more accurate to say Hitler wanted Poland to capitulate without a war. All the others did, Romania, Bulgaria etc. Of course, by then the invasion of Poland and the fall of France encouraged such a decision. The Dutch and Belgians surrendered too, that's why the invasion into France became so much more easier.

WW2 offically started with the invasion of Poland. But what Putin is saying is had they not fought and quietly surrendered, there would have been no WW2. He's making a similar argument, a false-equivalence, for Russia and Ukraine, saying Ukraine should have quietly capitulated instead of fighting back.

It's a dumb argument but he's not lying.

Western stuff don't work very well either. So we are developing our own.

Anyway, Russian army equipment is currently more advanced than the ones in the West, especially some of their newest stuff.

Many of the rest were simply too weak to defend themselves, but several did resist including Ukraine and Hungary. As regards a Russian invasion of the Baltics, you should also realise that Poland is every bit as strong as Ukraine.

:ROFLMAO: It's not dumb, it's just a lie. It would only be dumb if you believed Putin himself had the IQ of a kettle. It's like blaming a murdered security guard for being a security guard.

Western stuff works better than your stuff mate.

:ROFLMAO: Like hell it is, we see single Storm Shadows breaching Russian AD, whereas Russia has to attack with 50-100 missiles to get anything past even the limited Western defences supplied to Ukraine. You have to remember that Russia is not fighting us, they are just fighting Ukraine with a relatively small portion of our stuff and even then with restrictions on use. If we permitted Ukraine to fire as many of our missiles into Russia as Russia fires into Ukraine, Russia would have lost already.

Poland is way stronger than Ukraine. But that still doesn't mean Russia will lose. The Russians are struggling 'cause they failed to anticipate enemy strength.

You are not clear about the history. Poland helped Hitler take over Czechoslovakia. Google "Trans-Olza."

After Poland annexed Slovakian territories, the Slovakians joined Germany in the invasion of Poland. But before that, the German reason for the invasion was the return of the German-populated city of Danzig to Germany along with a corridor connecting the city with Germany. Poland refused, Britain and France supported Poland, and that led to war. Pretty much the exact same thing happening between Russia and Ukraine today.

No, not really. Our stuff is newer, customized to our battlefield even.

Poland would be on its own doorstep if Putin were to try link the Baltics to Kaliningard. And Poland would have overwhelming military backup from NATO, and missiles would be blowing up the Sukhoi Design Bureau, Almaz-Antey factories and cyberwarfare offices in Moscow in the middle of the morning shift to make sure they got all the workers as well as the asset itself. It would also be a free-for-all on all Russian naval assets worldwide, including the bases at Murmansk and Petropavlovsk. All Russia airbases would be wrecked.

Poland's territorial dispute with Czechoslovakia was pre-war in 1938, Czechoslovakia had annexed it in 1918 after the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire WWI following the Poles winning elections there, in 1938 Poland annexed it back, so it was part of Poland when when Hitler and the USSR invaded in 1939.

See above. They annexed the territories from Poland in the first place.

And what do you think Russians will be doing when you do all this to them? UK would have reduced to a flat and barren land.

India has had access to best of Eastern and Western tech for quite sometime now. We amalgamated eastern and western sensors in MKI successfully, something that was unheard of before.

That experience makes our weapons more effective than both Russian and Western ones plus our EW is also much superior.
