Tender documents, expected cost 1500-2000 crores
Radar and detection is probably one of very few domains where we are on par with any western, chinese and bar a few very sophisticated systems like space object detection, Russian counterpart. In a few years you will see once the rollout is complete.huh, it seems we havent gone far enough with antenna tech yet. as for the specs the indian one has been officially stated to be a GaN t/r based AESA with a range of about 400km. thats about it
then the indian radar is a generation behind unless its different from what is being shown
i certainly hope so but i still need proof to see that we have comparable anti stealth tech, LX111 has shown legitimate points on a subject where i do not possess a lot of knowledge. unless he/she is lying(no reason to) or misinterpreting the situation( which is likely) in which case i would appreciate more knowledge.Radar and detection is probably one of very few domains where we are on par with any western, chinese and bar a few very sophisticated systems like space object detection, Russian counterpart. It is quite simple & logical actually.i certainly hope so but i still need proof to see that we have comparable anti stealth tech, LX111 has shown legitimate points on a subject where i do not possess a lot of knowledge. unless he/she is lying(no reason to) or misinterpreting the situation( which is likely) in which case i would appreciate more knowledge.
This will be the first time one sees IAF Su30s taking off in tandem (at least caught on vids). Experts, please comment on the sudden movement of the right frame (is it natural or caught in the wake/turbulence?)
the line up for a staggered pair takeoff is normally done keeping in mind the wind direction. The second aircraft is supposed to be upwind while the lead is downwind to ensure that the wake of lead aircraft does not interfere with the take off of the second aircraft. In this case the surface winds as seen from the wind sock appear to be very slight and so the lead aircraft was lined up upwind against the normal procedure. It seems, just after take off, the aircraft experienced higher wind speed resulting in the ake of the lead aircraft drifting into the path of the second aircraft and that explains the away movement of the second aircraft to avoid the wake. This will be the first time one sees IAF Su30s taking off in tandem (at least caught on vids). There are internal talks to extend the order of 12 new MKIs to around 54-60 new ones(in addition to these 12 already ordered). Take it for what it is @marich01, @_Anonymous_, @Speedster1, @YoungWolf, @babablacksheep, et al

Would these MKI be in the Super Sukhoi configuration being developed or the current one as it exists ?There are internal talks to extend the order of 12 new MKIs to around 54-60 new ones(in addition to these 12 already ordered). Su-57 purchase was given greenlight by IAF during last year itself. Look at some of my comments when the news spread about PAF getting J-35s. I revealed even then that Su-57 was now a lock.Means Su 57 isn't taking off ?
UPG. configuration.Would these MKI be in the Super Sukhoi configuration being developed or the current one as it exists ?
Kh-69 is on offer? Wasn't it RUMINT? I have not studied it so far. It has been inducted fairly recently (22/23 IIRC). If IAF does acquire it, it will be the first export customer.Russia has offered their stealth cruise missile for MKI along with R-37M.
Latest OSINT from X is UAC officials are in China with a Stage 2 Su-57 model offering it to the Chinese.every single Rus export version is on offer to the interested party, you do not need to get separate offers. That written offer is applicable when a previous RFQ is already given to the Rus export bureau.
