Wow which developed states are run by leftists?
Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu.
As far as economics is concerned, all parties in India adhere to market capitalism with varying degrees of state presence.
Kerala which has lesser industry than fckin Guetemala?
Yes, that as well.
Or perhaps you are calling the DMK leftist which is stupid as an ethno nationalist party can hardly be called a "leftist" party just because it throws away freebies which even the so called fascistic party of the Supreme Leader does (guess the BJP is leftist now).
Any one that does politics to the left of the overton window is a "Leftist". That includes the atheistic, government intervention-enthusiast, ethno-nationalist "Leftists" who give away freebies left, right and centre and grow their economy at 11+% in real terms.
Or perhaps Maharastras government is leftist now?
Economically? They are, only without the GDP growth that the ethno-nationalist "Leftists" or the Nehruvian "Leftists" in the south usually manage.
Nah, Gujarat's more of a right-leaning, sometimes crony capitalist, state. Its also the only big state that hasn't had proper growth stats for a couple of years now.
there were numerous blunders which they did for which they deserve to be shat on, blunders which are orders of magnitude higher than what even the current "supreme leader" did in his rather mild term as PM and which even got some of them killed in the most horrible and grisly fashion.
Agreed. But they died decades ago. What's happening today is happening today, and someone else is in the seat that these guys once occupied.
Still, if you want, maybe summon Nehru, India Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi to answer, under oath, for their mistakes? Have the CBI question them and release the interrogation footages. Yeah, that's not possible, is it?
There's a reason why their once glorious party has been reduced to a sad little band being run by some half breed mutt who's having a mid life crisis.
Don't think anyone disagrees with this. That party died between 1997, 1998 and 1999. What survived managed to nostalgia-trip its way to power between 2004-14.
But then, this sad little band hasn't been in power since 2014. The current dispensation has been. Hence, scrutinise them.
Supreme leader is on the way out and you wont see as PM after 29 so relax, take a deep breath.
Uhh, who is the prime minister now? Supreme Leader? Then he should be questioned and held accountable for the things that happen under his leadership. His party's in power, if stuff happens in India, its his responsibility.
The aforementioned IITs that you admire Nehru for? Yeah, take this from a pretty recent co-called tier-1 engineering college graduate - they're hopelessly obsolete by modern standards (like seriously, visit the civil/mech engineering labs in IIT Delhi). And what does supreme leader do? He freezes or cuts their budgets.
Healthcare? Let's not talk about it, yeah?
Telecoms? They forget to bill a certain player for tower usage. Aviation? A single company holds thousands of people hostage across airports. Jobs? Its easier to become a millionare in the US than it is to get a decent job here.
And what are supreme leader's ministers doing? One of them promises to make roads as good as America's in 2 years every 2 years. There's kadi ninda, who's yet to improve India's brain-dead procurement. And then there's laser eyes, who has verbal diss-offs with foreign journalists while the country's ground presence in other countries continues to stagnate/shrink.
Normally, one would expect people to question the aforementioned ministers. But here, if you are a politician (and thus a minister), forget about everyone questioning you. In the off-chance where you get someone questioning you, there's no need to answer, or even think of a pathetic excuse of an answer. Your devotees in the general public would bend over backwards, give logic that would befuddle a zombie, and justify a life that'd make coackroaches scared, all for you.
So yeah, be it the dynasty (the one that actually won elections), or the supreme leader, it seems accountability eludes both. The only thing is, the dynasty's gone, while the supreme leader's the current prime minister of India.
Eitherway, sincere apologies if this offended anyone.
