There were small communities in North East and in kerala who used to eat rodents, frogs, etc.
Cockroaches and some worms were eaten in North East among tribal communities.
American channels like Discovery have adventureres who go on hiking eating worms and calling them protein rich food.
Frogs were eaten in Kerala.
People eat sushi, squids, etc and that is all okay??

Yes we need to put restrictions on eating bats and such disease carrying agents. But I don't think anyone can judge others.
I think only pure vegetarians have a say in such things.
 
I feel Modi got it wrong in this sudden lockdown , what about migrant workers? People are walking back home from delhi to Bihar. What if they infect every village they pass.
Instead government should have given a timeline for people to leave. Each exit should have been set up with temperature and symptoms check.
This is going to backfire

wheat crop is ready for cultivation and it is going to be eaten by birds in the fields now. IMHO, it will be better to shut down interstate travel and allow intra district/state travel. Delhi has not reported even a suspected case for last 3-4 days and there is no point in locking down Delhi. We shud instead concentrate on ensurin g sealing of Delhi borders.

Farming operations will not be affected

FCI is procuring wheat
So harvesting will happen

Right now All states which have seen the
Arrival of NRIs are open to Getting this epidemic

Just imagine the consequences of Infections in small towns and Villagers
Where there are NO Ventilators


We will loose Millions of young people
Young people are surviving this infection
But they need Ventilators

Old people are dying even with Ventilators

We have seen Opposition starts protests for Loan waivers and Unemployment

If poor people die in large numbers , they will attack the CLASS Enemy ie the Middle class and Rich

It's going up by the rate of 60-80 per day. I'm afraid very soon, it'd go up by 100-150 per day. Pls remember these infections were contracted approx 2 weeks ago . That's around 10th Mar. We shut down on 22nd Mar. Expect to see a huge spike in cases in Punjab & Guj followed by Maharashtra & Kerala. You can add UP, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan, TN, AP & TLG apart from Kar too to this list.

If we can stabilize before reaching 1000 cases per day, it will be a huge achievement. France did the shut down just 1.5 weeks before and it was too late by then. Current situation is if you go out without a letter from your company or valid reasons like buying groceries (limited times in a month), you will be fined starting from 135 euros to 1400 euros depending on number of violations.

I'm afraid we don't have that luxury. 1000 cases a day will deluge the system. The West did it coz they have robust healthcare networks in place apart from skilled healthcare workers, a sound base in R& D as well as world renowned Pharma giants. Arguably this was why they've decided to balance precaution with running the economy. Yet, look at how Italy & Spain turned out ? Let's not even talk about France Ger, UK & the US. The situation there would get worse before they get better.


In India's case , our bureaucracy, incompetence, corruption apart from sheer lack of skilled healthcare workers, desired equipment, generally poor conditions of hospitals & other such centres, general lack of hygiene, apathy all around, lack of financial resources, etc will be severely exposed the day this gets into a community spread phase or Stage 3 . We're already seeing limited signs of it in some places.

In retrospect the lockdown has come a week too late. However, we need to persist with it beyond 15th April. For 1 full month. It'd take a terrible toll on the contract worker, the daily labourer, the farm labourer, the agricultural sector, the MSME sector, etc. One can extend this to the homeless, the poor, the sick, the terminally ill too, the aged, etc. They'd be put thru a whole lot of inconveniences . Some of them may not even make it to the other side & their deaths would not be attributed to the Wuhan Virus.

But this is a war. And a war calls for difficult choices to be made. We can't prioritise everything. The bottom line is Jaan hain to Jahaan hain.

Not quite right. Majority of folks don't even get any symptoms. Another big chunk get mild symptoms high fever. A substantial get a really really bad flu. An even smaller number need any hosptialization.

China always learns from its history. Parallel is Opium Wars in China, when opium grown in Darjeeling under British India was flooded into China & the country systematically socially weakened to be divided into trading zones by British, Dutch, Germans, French, Russians, Japanese & US in 1830-60 period.

They have simply paid back. Analysis of Chinese holdings in terms of rights to develop, ownership of properties & balance of trade with European mainland prior to this event shows that Italy, Spain, Baltics, East European block countries are all overleveraged to China.

Now, a chimera has been released, formed due to recombination of virus from bats & pangolins, which has no correlation whatsoever. That the story was of Wuhan Food market, is an eyewash. Naturally, such a recombination is more than rare, but possible.

But no logical explanation comes to fore that explains a transmission from bats to pangolins or vice versa. However, input suggests release site to be the Wuhan Lab which is a Biosafety Level 4 research lab. A deliberate recombination is possible, as under Biological Weapons Convention, you can store weapons grade (read mutated) micro-organisms for research & "defensive study" purposes.

The Chinese hid the spread of virus, permitted foreign travel of millions of Chinese to Europe & US, and launched a #IAmNotAVirus campaign in Italy ... and effects are there to see.

Now, as European nations struggle to cope, Chinese have ramped up their industrial output.

If you follow events in Pakistan, their PM is resisting a lockdown in face of all pressure. And Chinese airlifted their labour to start work on CPEC now. Just to name one other instance. Extrapolate to Africa, middle east & south east asia.

China is now poised exactly as US was at thd end of WW2.

And within a century, they will wipe out their "century of humiliation" without firing a shot & being greeted as heroes.

For a scan centre , we need category 2 PPE, but finding PPE1 itself is difficult.

A normal mask that is sold to hospital at about 5 ₹ has become 25 ₹ , even that is unavailable.

All doctors are cribbing about unavailability of PPE and closing down hospitals.
Since they cannot ensure their own safety.

This is going to add more trouble s.

Why hospital cannot be given required PPE at the original rates in sufficient numbers..?

Government must take notice of this.
This is going to be bottle neck very soon.

The ban on export of PPE, masks & surgical gloves, inexplicably, was placed on 19 March. So the severe shortage.

Add the exemption granted to e-commerce/food-veggie aggregators for home delivery & lack of implementation on ground


Demonetization redux. Deliberate undermining to create conditions which disrupt the 21 day lockdown. That will increase number of cases & create business opportunities in one of the largest markets of the world.

Been analyzing situation since sometime. Realized what was up by mid feb. But too busy so didnt write & too lazy to do a proper write up.

So lazy that knew markets would crash but didnt cash out :ROFLMAO:

The transparent material the dome is made of does help to reduce instances of claustrophobia. It's an odd quirk in human neurosis, but we're most anxious when confined in spaces we can't see out of.

Human's are weirdly wired animals. Too many connections and many of them can be exploited through clever design and basic psychology. Still claustrophobia can be an issue with an EpiShuttle, but that's why patients are strapped to a gurney and the EpiShuttle is used for transportation to and from medical facilities or vehicles where supplementary oxygen or medicals can easily be administered to lessen the patient's discomfort.

Lets see US wont go down easily though. Their foreign policy is consistent irrespective of the ruling parties.
