Data Patterns, a fully integrated defense and aerospace electronics solution provider, on Monday said that the company is seeing more enquiries come in from the armed forces and is also well poised to receive orders for their Brahmos ‘seekers’ after a successful missile test recently.
“We are also being asked to deliver orders at the earliest,” Data Patterns founder and chairman Srinivasagopalan Rangarajan, told businessline. ”Just 3-4 weeks ago, our seekers were flight-tested in Brahmos as part of missile trials by DRDO and it was text book performance. We expect the orders for the additional Brahmos seeker units to come in soon,” he said. In missile systems, a seeker is a crucial component that detects and tracks the target.

“The atmosphere is conducive for more orders from our armed forces but the emergency procurement to shore up inventory may not benefit Indian companies alone and will also lead to a rise in imports in the short term,” Rangarajan adds.
Data Patterns currently supplies products such as precision approach radars, electronic suites for aircraft, and communication systems for land, air and satellites use, for our defence forces.
As for new products, Rangarajan said they have invested more than ₹100 crore on new product development across segments, and also have plans for around ₹150 crore in capex for ramping up production infra over next two years to execute orders. The demand potential looks high in products such a Fire Control Radars, X-Band Radars and smaller Radars for UAVs, and RF and IR Seekers for Missiles and others, he said.
Order book
Order book as of March 31, 2025 is ₹730 crore and he expects that the company will execute 70-80 per cent of this in FY26. He anticipates to add ₹1,000-1,500 crore worth of new orders in the current fiscal. FY26 revenue is anticipated to grow by 20-25 per cent, Rangarajan adds. The company reported a robust 36 per cent revenue growth in FY25 with growth across product lines of radars, electronics warfare, communication systems, avionics, and others. Data Patterns’ exports revenue was roughly 15 per cent of its FY25 revenue, and Rangarajan is also bullish on the export potential. “We are currently talking to an international partner for Radars development and when this materialises, it will further give a boost to exports,” he said.
