can you spot the correlation with the post reentry maneuver in the 2 graphs? A2 Rv was rated for ~ 5km/s reentry speed.
in those days it were pre programmed and after lift off not much else to do, you would hope your program logic gives accurate output and mission perform as it is. But often as there was not enough data on hand so glitches needed rectifying.

I mean in general technology wise, for the conventional use weapons such measure is available with drdo. For the strategic systems, its likely programmed and in testing phase, there is flight termination kill switch available and used in every mission.
Last year when the Test Range S band tracking radar was being overhauled under the amc for the future tests ie the divyastra related multi tracking, the Rus made radar system was to be improved for the purpose. Its likely yet to be fully complete for the hardware part but tracking has been improved.
I thought all the tracking radars at ITR are DRDO designs and made by BEL.

main tracking radar long range fixed one is the Rus one imported. They have upgraded 2 times so far i think. Now skin mode can track 350km plus.
After modernisation the radar will have a range of 160 km for 1sqm target in skin mode.
This is modest range.
The Mfstar radar at ITR has similar range like this.
