India has carried out the successful launch of Intermediate Range Agni-Prime Missile from a Rail based Mobile launcher system. This next generation missile is designed to cover a range up to 2000 km and is equipped with various advanced features. The first-of-its-kind launch carried out from specially designed Rail based Mobile Launcher, has the capability to move on Rail network without any pre-conditions that allows User to have a cross country mobility and launch within a short reaction time with reduced visibility.

This pic is great. A1P is 11.5 meter long with a 3 meter conical rv there. So it can be seen how compact & small the fully integrated article has become now with weight also reduced. We are in a transition phase from old metallic airframe to new gen state of the art system like this. Not sure how many western strategic systems also currently use similar stuff. Easy to understand the underwater systems to be more sophisticated.

Couple of very good long take shorts of the last test I saw on yt now, first one caught the smoke trail post launch.
Since the rail firing has happened, it was around a little time ago there was small hint of the same. This hood is the below one. The entire Rail based system can do its mission without much need or help from the outside. This is well established system already, now that the missiles are all going new generation (CRMC, MIRV, Avangard Lite etc) so many new possibilities are to come with the newer systems.

Clamp-ons are used during static testing to hold down the huge size motors I think. Now what can fit the size description here? Do we know something with different dia stages made by DRDO that might?
