If it goes right into the financial bids , I'm guessing EF won't repeat their previous mistake ( they were the 2nd from lowest or L2 in the last financial bids with Dassault being the lowest or L1 ) & may possibly underbid as well . You can't be too confident about these things . Financial bids are very unpredictable to that of extent . You can't predict the outcome.EF2000 has now 3 less assets versus Rafale :
-Rafale is already on duty, apparently with good results.
-DRAL is now a reality => It will take less time to built in India a first Rafale than a first EF.
-2 more squad can be ordered without the fixed cost of air base accomodation.
And, as now well known, EF is less versatile, more costly, less ranged, without an operational AESA so far.
