Ukraine - Russia Conflict

So in July US gave the green light to train Ukrainians in US fighters and couple months ago Okay'd JDAMS... no we know why.

If so Ukraine Vipers will be most valuable in this configuration.

Mig-29 and Flanker HARMs have done an ok job with the severe limitation capability but a SEAD Viper will really be a true hunter killer of Russian SAMs. Hopefully they'll get the latest EW pod.

I am bit worried about the F-16, though. One big reason why Ukrainian air force had survived was their ability to operate from road bases, as I explained here:

Can F-16 do that?
Taiwan F-16's takeoff and land on roads so it won't be an issue in Ukraine. However if they get F-16's it won't be until late 2023 by that time the multiple Patriot batteries will be in Ukraine. So will the many NASAM batteries and other SAM systems which will be able to protect a proper airbase with layered SAM defense. Right now Ukraine only has 2 batteries of NASAM of the 9 it was promised same goes for IRIS-T. Unfortunately it's a process that takes time.

Breakdowns of military equipment are not uncommon, even on a normal march, up to 10% of military equipment can break down and this is a problem for all the armies of the world. Published footage of the repair of Russian military equipment in Ukraine. In order to maintain the high combat readiness of the subunits, first of all, the weapons that are necessary for the performance of a combat mission or can be repaired in the shortest possible time are repaired.

An episode of the combat operation of the Russian T-80 tank near Bakhmut. The tank quickly changes positions as it can be hit by Ukrainian artillery in return. The video shows the destruction of a strong point and work through a thermal imager on the infantry of the Ukrainian army.

Two Polish-made 155-mm self-propelled guns Krab received by the Ukrainian army came under attack by Russian Lancet kamikaze drones. In the first drone strike, the self-propelled guns received minor damage and were abandoned by the crew. When a drone attacked another Krab self-propelled guns, it happened on the move, a fire started in the self-propelled guns and the ammunition exploded. One of the crew members did not have time to leave the car.

In the battles in Ukraine, the skills of the World of Tanks game were used. Despite the fact that computer games are scolded, the experience gained in the game World of Tanks helped Russian tankers in the battles in Ukraine.

Time to unleash zee Leopards, ja!

Zee Krauts dicked around too long and for that they got outplayed by US.

This is going to give Ukraine a capability they haven't had through out the war when it comes to their mechanize brigades... Night fighting capability.

Superior night vison optics, stabilized guns on Leopards, Bradleys and Swede und German IFV's will overwhelm Russsian forces.

Next month will likely about sending F-16's Euros fly and replacing them with F-35's. :)

West is running out of shells to send to Ukraine

Interesting point to note - initially former Red Countries sent their Soviet era materiel to Ukraine. Once that was exhausted, NATO equipment was being sent. And now we are at a point where NATO equipment is seeing shortfalls.

Russia is drawing on the mountains of shells it built during the cold war and is firing away like there is no tomorrow.
