Line of Actual Control (LAC) : India & Tibet Border Updates

It's just us letting them know politely what we feel about Indo-China diplomatic relations current status.
I have another theory in mind since yesterday. Could this visit be the case of China loosing the co-sponsered UN resolution with Russia where India voted absent like rest of the UNSC members, portraying China a looser at world stage UN platform on such a crucial subject. We all know how China's polity works. It doesn't want to be shown on the loosing end as there is risk of political instability at home. Till now India's absentism was working in favor of China when India was voting absent matching China's vote.

Guessing this angle from past experience including the gray-listing of Pakistan in FATF. China didn't vote in favor of Pakistan when it became clear it was hopeless cause and Pakistan was going to get graylisted, with or without China.

Now perhaps it wants stability in Indo Chinese relationship especially at world stage where it can't have the numbers on its own and having another heavyweight diplomatic power might help in offsetting western pressures. Who knows?

An angle to ponder upon?

This is a tug of war between the Reds and the Blues. India just happens to be in a spot where its support can make or break the western sanctions. So far India is looking to balance its approach but the lure of cheap oil is too good to resist.

Reds are perennially upset over "Past injustices and grievances" and want to reset the world order in their favor
Blues having swept all their misdeeds under the carpet are now championing the cause for "peace and harmony"

We are due for a massive showdown between the two blocks - the last one having fizzled out like a wet firework. People on both sides know its inevitable and have started preparing for it. What we see is bits and pieces of the legwork that slips out of the covers into the open.

India claims to have foiled a Chinese cyber attack
(Le Figaro w/ afp, apr.07)

India said on Thursday it had foiled a cyber attack by Chinese hackers targeting India's power grid near the border between the world's two most populous countries.

"Two attempts by Chinese hackers have unsuccessfully targeted the power distribution network near Ladakh" (north), Energy Minister R.K. Singh told reporters in New Delhi. India has deployed a defence system to prevent such cyber attacks, the minister said. The day before, the US-based intelligence organisation Recorded Future had pointed out that India's power grid had been subject to at least seven attacks in recent months.

"These attempts have targeted the area near the disputed Sino-Indian border in Ladakh in northern India," Recorded Future said, passing on its information to Indian authorities. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian denied that China had launched such cyber attacks. "We will never support such activities," he said.

Nearly a year and a half after clashes in the Ladakh region left at least 20 Indian soldiers and four Chinese dead, India has stepped up its defence along the border between Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet, a high-tension area with China. The two nuclear-armed rival nations regularly send patrols into areas claimed or controlled by the other. India also accuses China of establishing permanent settlements near their border.

The worst case for us is being suckered and pulled into one of the groups.

At present, China and India have different opinions on Tibet, Pakistan, and border issues.

However, China and India have common interests in many international issues. For example, on the issue of Russia, China and India are actually cooperating. In addition, on the issues of international food, energy security, and environmental protection, the views of China and India are identical.Europe and the West have tried to prevent developing countries from catching up through environmentally related carbon taxes.
