It was intended the aussie built the subs. The french side was to study the sub and produce only some key elements.
The studies were made, and paid, with an extra bonus according to the deal. And now this design is sold to Netherlands.
The sole looser is Australia, without a single new sub before YEARSSS, and most probably never built in australia.

Next round will be the Canadian contest. Last time they were near to ink the furniture of 12 Rubis class SSN. We will see...
