Looks like Mani Shanker Ayer issue is a drama to remove the blame from RaGa for Gujarat loss....
 I wouldn't credit them with this much grey matter.
On second thought though.. these chaps are cunning so not beneath them. But whatever, its crazy what these folks come up with time to time and still get the no. of votes they do.

They know that Hindu's won't vote in Packs like the Special Community. They get Muslim + Hindu votes, hence end up winning seats. With Rahul at Helm, it's going to change. ;) Congress will lose Himachal and Gujarat Elections. Bjp will better 2012 Performance in Gujarat and achieve what AAP achieved in Delhi, in Himachal.

Rahul will help advance the demise of congress but won't be a factor in uniting hindu votes.
Remember the Mulayam of 1992. The firing on karsevaks didn't galvanise the hindus to unite and throw Mulayam out of politics for good. That man ruled over UP for multiple terms.
I agree with the Gujarat and Himachal projections and that is, frankly speaking expected. However, Kerala and W.B are the states that interest me more.

Moving on, the nexus between seculars and left intelligentsia is weakening now and will take another term from modi to crumble, that will help in uniting hindu votes further. Also, in my opinion money matters are a good glue to bind communities together. In this case, various castes and sub castes amongst hindus will come together once the financial disparity between various castes reduces.
Jan dhan, free gas connections are all steps towards the same goal. The select few, in BJP, I suspect, understand this and thats why the contentious issues are being kept for the last.

PS. The conversion racket from christians NGOs is successful only cos of their financial muscle. Even a principal of a local missionary school enjoys paid foreign trips and vacations. Take this leverage away and hindus will be united.

CRPF, ITBP freed from VIP security duty, only CISF and NSG to be used: MHA
In one of the major decisions taken by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), only Central Indian Security Force (CISF) and National Security Guard (NSG) will provide security for VVIPs.
This effectively means that Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) will hand over the security baton of close to a hundred protectees to CISF by the end of next year.
The MHA order dated November 23 accessed by India Today reads "The personal protection duties have been reviewed by the Ministry."
It further says "CRPF and ITBP shall be progressively relieved from personal protection work. The task shall be progressively assigned only to Special Security Group (SSG) of CISF which has been specifically created for it." The note further reads that "NSG will continue to provide security to the high risk protectees as decided from time to time." The NSG security is being provided to a limited number of protectees.
The CRPF 75 list of VVIP security included high profile protectees like BJP President Amit Shah, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Dineshar Sharma, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Reliance chief Mukesh Ambani. It was roped in to provide VVIP protection in 2014 when NSG had shown its reluctance to deploy black cat commandos for personal protection.
In contrast, ITBP protects
only 17 high profile dignitaries. While a dozen are judges of the apex court, others are Jammu & Kashmir politicians such as Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, NC patriach Farooq Abdullah, former CM Omar Abdullah and CPI-M MLA Yusuf Tarigami. ITBP commandos have been on VVIP security deployment since early 1990s.
The NSG currently protects 14 high risk category VVIPs after the black cats were no longer responsible for RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav's protection. NSG's Special Rangers Group (SRG), with personnel drawn from Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and State Police forces, is deployed for guarding high-risk VIPs/VVIPs.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: BJP is coming back to Power. ;)

The coming year, all the way until 2019 is going to be extremely interesting now. Elections in the 3 remaining Northeastern States that BJP doesn't control. 1 of Congress's 2 last big states (Karnataka), which is also BJP's gateway to the South; and where Congress has a really solid chance to win and a solid local leader who knows how to battle BJP. And then 3 very serious, challenging elections where BJP will have to defend against Congress and anti-incumbency (Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh); out of which 2 states have pretty powerful, well organized Congress branches with strong top leadership as well.

This could either truly be the end of Congress and the Gandhis, or alternatively, Congress could truly start its resurgence and put a serious dent in BJP's legislative majority and its aspirations for Control of Lok and Rajya Sabha in 2019.

Inspired by Yogi, seers in Karnataka look to join politics

BENGALURU: The colour of the forthcoming assembly elections in the state, likely to held in April-May next year, could well be saffron. Taking a cue from Yogi Adityanath's coronation as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, about half a dozen swamijis in Karnataka are preparing to dive into active politics.
Some of the seers who have made no bones of their desire to contest polls are Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt near Mangaluru, Sri Basavananda Swamiji of Sri Guru Basava Mahamane at Managundi in Dharwad district and Sri Madara Chennaiah Swamiji of Sri Shiva Sharana Madara Guru Peeta in Chitradurga district.

Several swamijis in Karnataka are preparing to hit the frontline in politics. Inspired by Yogi Adityanath's coronation as the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, at least half-a-dozen seers in Karnataka have decided to renounce the 'backroom political operators' label and jump right into the fray in the forthcoming assembly elections.

From hobnobbing with powerful political leaders, to making fiery speeches, to expanding their social outreach programmes, saffronclad seers are doing all they can to ensure they secure a pollticket.

Some of the seers who have had no qualms in revealing their desire to dabble in politics are Sri Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Gurupura Vajradehi Mutt near Mangaluru in Dakshina Kannada district, Sri Basavananda Swamiji of Sri Guru Basava Mahamane at Managundi in Dharwad district and Sri Madara Chennaiah Swamiji of Sri Shiva Sharana Madara Guru Peeta in Chitradurga district. Political analysts say that a majority of these seers are clamouring for a BJP ticket although the ruling Congress has been making attempts to ensure that they either remain neutral or are trying to rope them in.

Basavananda, who is keen on contesting from the economically backward Kalaghatagi constituency on a BJP ticket, is confident of making the grade. His Facebook page has photographs of him standing next toPrime Minister Narendra Modi and state BJP president B S Yeddyurappa. Should he contest, he will face mining baron and labour minister, Santosh S Lad, in Kalaghatgi. The swamiji is known in the area for his service in the fields of education, health and animal welfare and has thousands of followers.

On why seers want to wade into the choppy waters of politics, Basavananda told TOI: "If politicians are not following the principles of goodness and working for the peoplewhy shouldn't weenter politics? Nowadays, politics has become synonymous with everything that is bad. I want to show that politics can be clean." Basavananda, who claimed Modi is his inspiration, insisted that he will not enter the fray if denied a BJP ticket.

In the coastal region, the BJP is considering fielding a pontiff whose discourses are laced with hardline Hindutva messages much like Adityanath. Sri Rajashekarananda Swami, who reportedly enjoys the support of local Sangh Parivar leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat fits the bill. Known for his fiery speeches and his support for cow vigilantism, Rajashekarananda is being seen as someone who can galvanise the BJP in the communally sensitive coastal districtsof Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada.

Rajashekarananda, who recently held a round of talks with central BJP leaders, told media: "My followers would wonder why I shouldn't jump into politics. We then began discussions and I received a positive response. Hindu dharma is my strongest foundation and I am ready tocontestfrom any constituency."

In the central Karnataka, Chitradurga's Sri Madara Chennaiah Swamiji continues to play his cards close to his chest though the political grapevine is that he will contest on a BJP ticket. While BJP leaders Yeddyurappa and KS Eshwarappa have visited his mutt in recent times, sources said CM Siddaramaiah and social welfare minister H Anjaneya are alsobaiting him. Madara maintained: "I have good rapport with all the political parties, but I have not taken a decision yet."

Sources in the BJP said there are four other swamijis who are sending feelers to party leaders expressing interest in contesting in the upcoming polls. Meanwhile, the Congress is also trying to explore the rift in the Veerashaiva-Lingayat community in NorthKarnataka and isscouting for Lingayat seers who will fight against BJP.

Karnataka polls may be pilot for Rajini's political stint

BENGALURU: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth announced his foray into politics+on Sunday, saying his yet-to-be-floated party+ will contest in the 2021 assembly elections in Tamil Nadu. But Rajini's ability to pull crowds and convert them into votes is likely to be put to test much earlier, with BJP leaders wooing him to campaign for them in the upcoming Karnataka elections.
Rajinikanth seemed to be closer to the BJP+ ever since he hinted at his aspirations to enter politics early last year and his avowed 'spiritual politics' has given the saffron party to lap him up. "The BJP is always happy to associate with Rajini kanth and w e have been supporting his cause all along. We are not practising political untouchability and anybody with integrity is welcome to our fold," said C T Ravi, co-convener of Tamil Nadu BJP and Karnataka's senior legislator, adding that "it is too early to spell out a poll strategy".

"Rajini's 'spiritual politics' is in line with the BJP's ideology. We need to change atheist-oriented politics of Tamil Nadu and replace it with the politics guided by religious values. Rajini's entry can help us in the mission," said Tamil Nadu BJP president Tamil Isai Soundarrajan. With four more years to go for TN assembly polls, the timing of Rajinikanth's announcement, political observers feel, has a Karnataka angle to it. Rajini has his roots in Karnataka, which is going to the polls in May next.

Rajini's brother Satyanarayana Rao Gaikwad who lives in Bengaluru, told TOI that his brother always wanted to serve Karnataka where he was born and brought up and worked as a bus conductor before rising to stardom. "It is his dream to serve the state where his roots are. By entering active politics in Tamil Nadu, he will be able to serve both the states and we hope it would be easy to iron out many conflicts between them with him at the helm," said Rao.

Rao, who said Rajini is likely to reveal his party's name on Sankranthi, said it is too early to comment about the likelihood of the superstar campaigning for the BJP in Karnataka. "He has just anno unced his political entry and let him settle down before making the next move. The Karnataka polls are a few months away. Certain ground-level tasks like setting up of associations of supporters at the village-level and strengthening the organizational base is the priority," Rao added.

The actor in his recent public speeches had played up his Kannada roots. Besides emotionally describing how he had touched Kannada iconic actor Rajkumar's feet before becoming an actor, Rajini spoke of how he had auditioned in Kannada and did his school in Kannada medium. "Associating with Rajini is more suitable for the BJP, especially in the current Karnataka scenario. Long-term strategies will follow," said Tarasu Shyam, senior journalist in Tamil Nadu.

Opinion: Modi, Shah and Co. continue to seriously impress. Best case scenario, Rajinikanth could help them come back to power in Karnataka, and then help them make a dent in Tamil Nadu. They're also seriously growing at a rapid rate in West Bengal now.
