True. After last panchayat elections, BJP suddenly emerged as a strong rival to BJD. As such for last 4 years the private secretary of Naveen Patnaik has been ruling both the party and the state and ministers and mlas are extremely angry about that. But nobody dared to say anything till the panchayat elections results were out. Whatever Baijayanta panda said or wrote against the party leadership is actually correct and people can relate to his concerns. Unfortunately Naveen Patnaik is just a puppet and not the able administrator what most people think. So in spite of the serious lack of administration, he is not able to do much. During my last visit I can clearly see the infrastructure crumbling and people are getting frustrated about that.
He almost certainly will, or he’ll start something of his own with covert BJP support. I think it’s just a matter of time.
Thats weird, considering that Pradhan was the one in touch with him to split the party. Delhi should overrule Pradhan and make Panda the CM candidate - Pradhan is anyhow needed at the center.
