Khujliwal is desperate. I think he knows something that we ordinary folk will learn on the 25 th May.
He is trying to save next assembly elections in Delhi, he knows alliance or not BJP will clean sweep LS in Delhi but the results will end his career.

In all 7 seats he is expected to finish 3rd out of 3 major parties but it is also possible his candidate will finish 4th on few seats even behind independents, that will end his chances of getting even 10 seats in next assembly elections so what's the solution?

Partner with Congress this will reduce no of parties to 2 and he will automatically finish 2nd instead of 3rd or 4th and then he will blame this disaster on Congress and become anti corruption and anti congress again in next assembly elections. This will save his face a bit and his cadre won't feel too ashamed and have some josh left otherwise even his present MLA will not run or support party.

It's existential crisis for him and he is looking for scapegoat.

The aims of Observer Research Foundation

Now The Caravan is certainly not known to be BJP's most friendly media outlet. After all they broke the story of Swami Aseemanand & Hindu terror as also the so called mystery behind Justice Loya's death.

But this particular reportage is very interesting. It brings out the patronage behind Observer Research Foundation - India's premier think tank and it's links with RIL & their country ordinated strategies involving articles in the media, events, policy papers for limited circulation, etc.

Although, the linked article is meant more as a teaser ( Full viewing only on subscription. I've bought the magazine) , I thought its worth my while to post it here in case you may want to read the entire article.

Lefties are good at revealing the funding sources or controlling stakes of anything related to right wing and not just that they promote it and even award themselves for even a petty googling research like in the case of "Swati Chaturvedi" who "exposed" that there exists an IT cell in BJP and she was awarded in London for this exposé.

However they never reveal their own affiliations, most of these exposé are done to target rival group for taking away their space and they feel choked and irrelevant. My grudge against lefties is they do exactly what they accuse others of but never question themselves. The kind of dishonesty that ecosystem has is stinking repulsive.

ORF is being targeted as its Raisina Dialogue have become formidable event with who is who of most nations attending it. This rubbing shoulder with elite was considered to be privilege of self declared intellectuals of left ecosystem, they can't digest that someone else is now in power while they are becoming increasingly irrelevant. They have made connections and always used them for personal gains, to settle kids in top university or think tanks or NGO or organization that can influence the decision making as per their own gains, now these connections are not very helpful and they are out for blood but this rotten ecosystem will be buried deep forever.

While what you're saying can't be denied, it's time for RW media to do a similar hatchet job.

Having said that, if you track RIL's foray into telecommunication and see how it dovetails neatly into the e comm platform they're building, coupled with the broadband acquisitions they've made - Hathaway, etc and the fact that they're either directly controlling prominent media companies or have funded quite a few of them, I can say I'm not quite comfortable with the fact, given RIL's past track record.

Yet if one only takes the case of their e commerce venture, I don't see any one who can give the Amazons, the Flipkart / Walmart and the Alibaba's of the day a run for their money except RIL. Do we endorse RIL for its e commerce venture or do we take a larger view of their doings and be vigilant to their games. It's one of those dilemmas of our age.

I don't think any single organization will be able to gobble up everything. A balancing act is going on both in society and in upper echelons of power. Those who had unchallenged reign is now facing competition, it's good for country, public. Left expose right, right expose left and common public can choose lesser of the two evils with more info out in public domain.

RIL is primarily a Congress creation. It's not for nothing that Mukesh Ambani WSs quoted saying in the Radia tapes - Congress toh apni hi dukaan hain.

Having said that they now have cultivated and enjoy support across the political spectrum except for the Left. In some time you'd see the same with Adani.

Agree with the rest of your post.

When you become a big player you stop taking sides and keep both sides happy. Those who pick sides grow good in favorable environment and lose badly in opposition, not a wise way to do business so most business play both sides.

*When Indian Airlines Plane was Hijacked in 1978 for Release of Indira Gandhi from custody*

Rahul Gandhi has questioned central govt, about release of Masood Azhar.

We all know that Indian Airlines plane was hijacked by Masood Azhar's brother and India had to release Azhar to save the lives of 187 passengers including 15 Crew members.

No amount of diplomacy would have worked with jehadi maniacal psychopath like Taliban in Kandhar. To save the lives of so many passengers and crew, the Atal Vihari government with the consent of all parties, released Masood Azhar.

No Government could have taken any other decision endangering so many lives.

*But do you know in 1978, an Indian Airlines plane was hijacked by two congress supporters demanding release of Indira Gandhi from police custody.*

Rahul Gandhi should read the history of his party rewarding hijackers.

The following are the details.....
thanks to Putul Guha.

*History that has been wiped out from public memory-*

On 20 December 1978, two persons Bholanath Pandey and Devendra Pandey hijacked Indian Airlines plane IC 410 ferrying 132 passengers from Lucknow on its way to Delhi.

*Their demands....???*

The hijackers had two demands:-

1. Indira Gandhi, who was jailed after emergency, be immediately released from jail.

2. All cases against Sanjay Gandhi be immediately withdrawn.
.

*What happened to the hijackers ?*

1. When Indira Gandhi returned to power in 1980, Bholanath and Devendra Pandey were rewarded with tickets in UP assembly elections. Both won elections.

2. Bholanath Pandey became an MLA from Doaba (Ballia) in 1980 and remained an MLA till 1991.

3. Devendra Pandey also became an MLA in 1980 and was an MLA for 2 terms consecutively.

4. Bholanath Pandey was then rewarded with tickets for Lok Sabha elections as Congress Party candidate for Salempur constituency in 1991, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014 elections.
.
This is how Congress party treats the criminals who hijacked a plane. But since the plane was hijacked to release Indira Gandhi, the hijackers were made powerful legislators.

For Congress, the family has remained above nation, national interest and people.

Is there any country in the world where plane hijackers are rewarded with tickets for becoming MLAs and MPs ??

Those who put the lives of 132 passengers in danger just to release Indira Gandhi were made MLAs by her........ That's Congress- Gandhi dynasty.

A similar incident comes to mind when a person kept a plane hostage just to meet Atal Bihari Vajpayee, his demand made ATC suspicious as the man claimed to have a chemical bomb with him and he can kill Atalji. Negotiations yielded no result then Atalji went inside the plane himself and that man surrendered.

Crazy supporters is not new thing but how you award criminals is the difference, the least you could do is to encourage a plane hijacker but who knows maybe congress orchestrated that event.
