Main criteria of the iddm is IP. What if foreign company agrees for joint ownership of IP? In this case product will be technically qualified under iddm.
This whole procurement is being done for backdoor entry of ATHOS. generals & babus have already turned aatmanirbharta into joke.

His assumption is ATHOS will be 100% Israeli IP, but that won't be the case.
He is confusing Make with IDDM. The latter is fine with foreign IP, as long as half of it is Indian. There's plenty of stuff on a gun that can be indigenized quickly. Even K9 Vajra is 50% Indian.

The ones who should be hanged is DRDO, for impacting India's security with such ridiculous failed projects. The initial lot of 400 guns that was forcefully canceled would have been useful 'cause it would have given us superior capability versus the Chinese in Doklam today, with the Bhutan talks making progress in favor of China. For the first time, we now have significant inferiority across the board with China if we end up in a shooting war within the next 5 years, possibly even next year 'cause of Doklam.
Now thousands more of our soldiers will die than necessary, a la Ukraine style.
That last pic is BS, it's referring to fixed guns like Sharang and M777, not locally self-propelled guns, even if limited in mobility. Both ATHOS and ATAGS have similar levels of mobility.
