The list shows bare minimum requirement to sustain a two front war.

It also shows how f***ed and messed up the IAF is with their acquisitions and requirements.

Barring the 07 Squadrons of AMCA, can the other items on the list be acquired by 2035?

How come Amca mk2 have 5 sqn projection with a new dev engine, and mk1 just 2 sqn with an existing readymade engine? Won't that be numbers in reverse?

Actually imo bar amca, some of the others will prob be available sooner/before amca realises.
One projection before was like this, if both AMCA & FGFA had that kind of numbers projected imo we would induct su30 like numbers in future. In case any 5th gen foreign offer comes (unlikely I know, just saying it cos the Parliamentary standing committee on def recommended buying 5th gen in one previous report) it would further be complicated.

Dont think there is a need for the IJTs - IMO that project is pretty much dead. Pretty sure the need is now for LIFT

SAMs were successful against Russian jets, that doesn't means that same success rate will achieve against wester aircrafts like f16 or new Chinese j20 & heavily upgraded latest su27 copies in their inventory.
