India-US Relations

I don't have twitter. And it's obvious PL15 on J10 or JF17 was successful in hiting something. PL15 in IWB of J35 is 100x deadly compared to F16. India can easily crush F16. The AIM120D which makes you hard for some reason only has a range of 160 km or so , maybe 200 km, which means an F16 carrying that is turkey shoot for S400 and Kusha! Not to mention Meteor armed Rafales or Astra Mk2 armed Tejas Mk1a and Su 30.
I beleive our airforce, they saod no loss of aircraft on sndoor where paf uses extensive Chinese missiles.

But last time when used not so deadly aim120c, we lost an aircraft

Trump is unpredictable on the best of days. But the new US cabinet (Lutnick, Hegseth and Gabbard) seems to driving at least part of the agenda wrt India. From trade to Pak, we're suddenly on the back foot. Personally, I think it's time for quiet diplomacy rather than making grandiose statements at think tanks and interviews. Wolf warrior diplomacy is not going to work for us right now.
We need to either sign a deal for the f-35 or some mass production deal with the U.S. That's the reality. Trump loves deals.

IAF has officially acknowledged our jet losses when DGAO said that losses are part of combat. Just stop with your 'US is best' propaganda.

He was corrected later that day. @vstol Jockey pls educate this fellow losing aircraft & losing fighter jet is different thing. India might have lost uav, not any fighter jets
Based upon wreckage on our side we lost 3 jets and 1 UCAV. From DGAO to CDS to the Naval Commander who was part of our defence attache to Indonesia, all have acknowledged our jet losses. The real number won't come out anytime soon. But based upon what we saw, we lost a Rafale, a Mig-29UPG., M-2000 and Heron TP.

Are you disowning the goi version of no loss?

Let's see how the new India-US 10 yr defense agreement shapes up. The F-35 is certainly on the table. The US has been asking us to buy more Boeing airliners but no new announcements will likely be made until after the recent Dreamliner crash investigation is complete.

We will have to lobby the entirety of Pentagon,DoD and US MIC on our side. This should be a National mission on priority. Give TASL and Mahindra defence deals with Lockheed, Raytheon and Boeing. Promise a 100 billion dollar investment similar to Qatar and Saudi. That will shut them up for a while. Bribing them is the only way.

Modi would be glad to do that. Problem is Trump wants access to agri, dairy markets and dilution of data storage laws. He's not offering much in return in terms of H-1B visas, semiconductor, etc. Lobbying can help but rather than hire a PR firm, we should try and use our diaspora and biz leaders like Ambani et all.

Indian origin cabinet members and senior officials like Tulsi Gabbard and Kash Patel may be sympathetic towards us too.

We suffered losses that has already been confirmed and irs highly likely it was due to PL15 launched by J10s.

If given option, Pakistan would choose US/Western weapons in a heart-beat over Chinese ones. If they're NOT getting J-35s then US would give them something more advance. Honestly even F-35 is not out of realms for them.

Anyways, I still think PAF will get 40 odd J-35s by the end of this decade. Let's see.......
Sir, probability of Pakees getting F35 is the same as India getting J20 🤣. NOT happening. Well, probably when US is flying 7th generation space hypersonic fighters in 2060s they will give F35 to Pakistan out of pity. At most they will give F16V with AIM120D. If Pakistan doesn't get J35 then it's the best news for India, we gain air supremacy from the first few hours of conflict itself and wont have to drastically change our tactics.

We suffered losses, but not any manned fighters. Its UAV. Thats what every one (hellfire @vstol Jockey) had said initially. If j10 c was that much effective PAF wpuld have gone for more j10c or J35, instead tgeybran to US for AIM120D for their F16.

If Iran got J10c from china, then its a good news as yhat jews will fina a way to counter j10 effectively and we will get that tech. PAF getting j35 is also a gokd news, they will forbidden fro USA. F16 for PAF, we will be in soup.

Looks like talks went to the dogs, now Indian govt is using media to send the message instead of them telling them to their face. Problem with India is that like retards we showed overenthusiasm jumped at the first moment and started crawling on the ground. US obviously took this as a sign that monkeys will give whatever we ask for and they pushed for every thing while giving nothing in return.

Modi did the same thing with Xi as well , he invited him to chennai, made a big song and dance about co-operation ...etc but the end result was same. It dint stop chinese from trying to create disturbances on the border.

If you want to become a strong power, we need to negotiate from position of strength, not displaying subservience. Marwadi tactics of jaw-jaw diplomacy is for fools, real powers have leverage and use it strongly. As Roosevelt said "speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far".

India simply doesnt have the enuf strength to negotiate fairly, our only advantage is doling out military contracts to foreign countries at the risk of of destroying our own industries. End result is quite obvious, we neither will protect our interest nor our money put to good use.

Trade deal negotiations will continue because India is a big market. The whole fuzz is about that Ukraine Russia issue which is causing difficulties in negotiations.

Indeed, the surprising thing is how protectionist India is about allowing foreign goods and services, EXCEPT on the critically important topic of military procurements!

But to give credit, things appear to be moving in the right direction.

Nope, they want us to open our agri & dairy sector whole sale. This is not some thing new , US has trying to pry open Indian sectors for quite some time , probably some one should remind you of the farmers protest. Orchestrated farmers protest was not anti-modi but anti-India altogether. Any reforms would have created problems for their agri export.

After agri sector , target is financial sector , they want to manage the pension funds which runs into thousands of crores. Lot of easy money to be made there. To know US mentality & attitude just check about the totalization agreement deal that India is trying with US for more than a decade !

For a country which has given away bangladesh on a platter it wouldnt take much time to do the same with ukraine-russia.
