India - United States Relations

What do they get out of devaluing dollar? And if they want to do it, there are tools that will promote extremely fast development in USA at the cost of currency value loss and inflation.

The entire "Make USA a manufacturing hub again" is a dead end idea. US does not have young population for that anymore.
It's rooted in an old idea vis a vis plaza accords of 1970s. It's delusional to an extent being more like extortion and less like actual reforms in system.

Don't forget about the automation. With AI+robots, replacing human workforce in repetitive tasks is no longer a tough task. Human like robots are in advanced stages of development and training and can probably replace plethora of low paying jobs across the sectors.
All the big investments we see in headlines in USA aren't gonna go towards substantial job creation but automated factories. The point of vulnerability though for US is the lack of numbers of high skilled IT workforce ( non-immigrant and white). But their strength has always been the non-IT engineering.

And that's the main strategy US have been working on sinces ages now. Even china is doing so. Both have been getting ready for their aging population besides the military ofc.
There is good reason they are trumpeting AI ... AI....AI.. and pumping up stocks up Nvidia, they some how want to convince the world that this AI is silver bullet that reduce costs and .....their debt as well. Chips is the only sector they have the upper hand and if the lose that edge, its all over in consumer sector.

Oh no. It won't reduce costs. That wasn't my argument. But it will reduce the need of labor for a lot of things.
Plus, proliferation and scaling of production can bring down cost. It's not just nvidia. Amazon, meta, alphabet, and others are investing heavily into Robotics. And given the fact that intelligent robots are still very niche and few countries have some accessibility to it, the market is huge. So huge.

My working theory:

Given the sheer capital US Companies have, they can afford to invest for long term planning. And as the tech advances, it will hardly tolerate any error which humans are prone to. So both high end and low end will likely get covered by automation.
That leaves mid level i.e. MRO, engineers, human in the loop managers, commanders and such.

Then we have both US &China investing in Biotechnology. DNA, Generation manipulation.

At the end of the day it's about resources, and with space and underwater exploration, the reliance on resources at, under land will increasingly reduce. This is not a 25-30 year game. But a 100 year game, which most of the multi billionaire are focusing on.

Which will increase the competition / faceoff / rivalry in space and deep ocean exploration. Coupled with 2020 shock, US and India (to an extent) are securing the supply chains even if it means huge investment. Which brings us to the maritime tensions b/w US & China. Taiwan is just the beginning ( to break the chain) not end goal in this rivalry.
And that brings us to India-US relationship and the tech collaboration which both wanna increase.

Current govt have been focusing on maritime domain ever since coming to power. And it's not just about military ships. But overall ecosystem of maritime travel, exploration etc. From first term the discussions, policies regarding utilising andaman, lakshadweep, daman.. island chains have increased. Wether it's role for military or as a shipping hub. Although, given our late start compared to others, we are still behind and need continuity.
And anyone can see the investment done in shipyards, submarine building etc. We don't realise how much the govt is trying to save and scrap to invest in future domains, given that we can hardly manage resources for normal things. ( Fk you free electricity and farm waivers, just a way to siphon off money.. and gave us ladli bahin )

Is it just me or... Nepal is seeing her own version of color revolution after India and China are making progress on boundary issues? Is it a setup to introduce new mess here and derail fixing of boundary issues?

Hmm looks like a proxy war between US and China. Nepali government is banning US origin SM apps while allowing Chinese apps.

There was some movement on this front as well. Brussels was made aware of this some time ago and had been talks with member states. The Russian Federation is also building some new distribution networks as these talks are going on.

I think either US wants EU to take the burden of sanctioning India when it comes to Russian oil and US wants to remove that from its own head in tarrif.
