Chinese Wuhan Virus Thread

136+50 cr vaccinations till date = 186 cr vaccinations by 1st Jan 2022. That's still 14 cr Short of the 200 cr vaccinations projected by GoI May 2021 to a parliamentary panel. Also do note that this presentation only includes domestically manufactured Covishield + Covaxin.

There's no consideration made in the presentation of any foreign made vaccine. Earlier projections of Sputnik, Novovax etc seems to have been discarded. Same goes for other domestic vaccines in various stages of trial / approval viz Bio E, Nasal vaccine to be developed by BB etc.

I have got 1 shot of covishield and thinking about getting covaxin as 2nd shot. Do anyone has any recommendations?
You may approach @screambowl . I believe he has relevant expertise in the matter although I don't quite follow why're you seeking opinions out here where you ought to be consulting either your family doctor or a specialist on this ?

I am not a doctor but I can tell you that if you travel abroad you may not be considered as fully vaccinated if you take covaxin. As covaxin is not given green signal for Emergency Use by the WHO yet. Otherwise I know people who have mixed the vaccines. Consult a doctor.

It can be done but not athorized till date. Best to take both shots of same dose and booster dose of different type.

My freinds in Canada who were tested covid + did not take the second shot. One is sufficient. But what's happening is they will be asked to quarantine in India because in India the officals at airport are not updated with this info. They consider them as not fully vaccinated ( two shots).

I understand that. Me and my wife both were infected in 3rd week of April 2021 and discharged on 30th April together. We had our first COVIDSHIELD dose shot on 23rd July together after completing three month gap period as per current mandate. Though I seem to have developed complications now after 10 days, five days dizziness, stomach issues still fuzzy. Had visited heart & chest specialist doctor Bandra West linking road @_Anonymous_ you might be aware of doctor I guess, near Shopperstop at signal junction, just behind fuel station. Been suffering from occasional coughing and chest pain post COVID recovery. My RT PCR score was 14 only, wife's 26 which was closer to normal.

Cousin, who is in SF, and maternal side uncle family had their doses even before vaccination had started for medical professionals due to their military involvement. Uncle leads a military institution in NE sector. Father and mother both had their both shots completed a day before our first shot, father is retiring from active service in six months.

Pancritis or some word doctor used for my secondary infection I don't remember exactly. There was a young patient who was diagnosed after COVID with condition two days before me there.

I have been ordered to take only Daliya or Khichdi, nothing else as body is rejecting all kind of food and it feels repulsive to be honest. I loose senses like totally dizziness. Still I will urge everybody to get vaccinated ASAP.

Unusual symptoms. What's the name of the doctor you're consulting ? And how did you contract pancreatitis?

Only mixing Covishield with Pfizer/Moderna has been confirmed as of now. Mixing anything else with it is still up in the air. You're obviously going to need a doctor's recommendation.

Dr. Anita Gidwani. I have no idea on secondary infection how it happened but as I said she only said it's suspected. Post testing only she can confirm. Yesterday my blood and urine test results came and platelets are low (as usual I suffer many times every year because of this) and most notably uric acid discharge is high. I am feeling bit heat today as well with tiredness.

Heard of Dr Gidwani in the same area. My late dad's friends used to consult him . This one could be related to him. I just hope it's not pancreatitis.

You take care buddy & hang in there . That's all I can say . This disease is a curse .

I wish you good health and speedy recovery. Even my friend who was covid + told me after recovering that it made her week and took one month completely to recover. Other friends after recovering told that they feel normal.

This virus acts differently. You might have had delta strain.

Which khichdi do you take is it moong dal khichdi? Try moong daal(chilka one) with daliya ( cook together) and try papaya as well. Ask doctor if you can take it.

So all this after vaccination??

My friend has told me to take biontec not astra zeneca due to side effects. One of my Indian friends took Zeneca and for 3 days he was in bed without any energy to even move, and he is young. Second dose was moderna or pfizer. No side effects.

First point, doctor has permitted to eat fruits like Papaya, Apple and Banana.

Second point, I am not sure if it happened due to COVIDSHIELD dose, caughing and chest pain was there from start post recovery from COVID, close to 4 months now. Doctor said these symptoms can appear after 2 months. And yes after dose I too had fever for 2-3 days, hence complete bed rest.
