Chinese Wuhan Virus Thread

This shows that Indian Armed Forces and especially Indian Navy thinks well ahead of its time. LOL.
I think the GoI ought to come out with such a protocol ASAP given that all the governments at the state & the centre seem to be displaying weariness. It's as though they've resigned themselves to the incoming onslaught.

Some state governments like WB & Maharashtra have already thrown in the towel with the former admitting as much .Khujliwal did so a month ago. Others like TLG, CG & Guj aren't testing as much. Practically all of them are concealing both the rates of death & infection.

The twin responsibilities of balancing both the reduction in the rates of infection as well as gradual opening up of the economy seems to be coming undone. In the coming days we're going to see much more opening up of the economy as compared to what it is today. This is a given irrespective of what the situation on the ground is. That only means the rates of infection & casualties will shoot up . All the governments seem resigned to this fact. Given the way economic activity has come to a halt, I'm expecting most of the populace to internalise this bitter truth as well.

It's about time the administration - both state & central came up with a precautionary protocol and made such medicines available in plenty.

When I flew for 20 sqn AF, we used to fly from Chabua which happens to be the eastern most airbase of IAF. We used to paractice valley flying there which was an experince beyond anykind of combat. We were required to memorise the entire valley to fly thru it. But the worst part was that we needed to get up at a time which was still dark for rest of India. AND have drinks at around 6pm which coincided with time frame of rest of India.
4 baje utho, 7 baje briefing and 7.30 launch. It was very bad for a guy from Delhi.

I think we are downplaying our cases..

It would be much higher even deaths too...

Yes, the number of cases is definitely higher. As for death, it's definitely higher, but I don't think it's being hidden, merely not discovered yet.

Nope.. deliberately down played by not testing itself. And other methods..

Central team is visiting TN to follow TN protocol as death rate is very less..
LMAO..

They ll find the truth..
If they investigate dead patients case sheets.

Patient in covid ward death certified with cause as viral pneumonia.

It's truely virus only but not counted as Covid..

Not sure what they ll get by such acts..

Wait for sometime..
After Maharashtra, TN will lead the cases..

They can't bluff all the way ..

Maharashtra itself is downplaying everything from tests undertaken to the rate of infections to deaths. I've multiple sources confirm that on detection of an infection case, the patient is asked to homequarantine or if serious taken to a hospital. Family members aren't tested. If testing is insisted upon by family members or neighbours, the municipal personnel simply ask them to get tested at pvt centres as govt labs would report the result only after a week.

Since each of these tests cost INR 4500 & above, most ppl can't afford it & back off. Then there are cases where family members refuse to test. Further, self quarantine is enforced by the society office bearers in apartment blocks. Non compliance is to be reported to the municipality who don't respond in time.

Then comes the issue of hospitals, most of which are straining at the load. Both deaths & rates of infection are grossly underreported. The quality of treatment is best not discussed in municipal hospitals. There's also the issue of other serious ailments left untreated due to this scare of the Chinese virus which also adds to the casualty list as also cases who've been admitted to non Chinese virus hospitals for treatment of other illness but end up contracting the virus & at times dying from it.

There's also no attempt made to trace the contacts of an infected person . Arguably this has been the case since mid April. Mumbai is on the precipice.

It is basically about survival.of the FITTEST

This is the first instance of Darwin's theory getting tested in our living memory

The earlier case was when the Spanish Flu happened in 1920

Basically people are fed up of all negativity , They can only take precautions

There is a video of KEM ICU making rounds here..

3 residents in 35 patients ICU .. Taking care of all..
There is no nurse.. No house keeper..
No unit employed doctors..
No one other than the 3.

How will they empty the uro bag of patients.. Or giving bed pan..
Or drinking water or food..

Typically government hospital s are run by interns & residents..

Even when I was intern, use to do mostly nurse s work..

Welcome to OFB equivalent in health sector!

I agree with that. It's out of control in these two states. And TN is definitely hiding.

It removes political pressure and doesn't create panic. Mamta tried that from the very beginning in WB and failed anyway, but that's Mamta.
