Brexit and Future of UK : Discussions

Well I don't think we've learned anything new really. Before receiving this advice the deal was shit and it's still shit now.
The reason why she was hiding the advice - the Brits will be in limbo for decades. In my lifetime I can’t remember the government in office being so f***ed up.

Brexiteers would rather kill the country than have any deal. Chronic hurt will occur if a hard deal or no deal - reminds me of the story of king Solomon and the baby .....Chapter 30: King Solomon

Brexiteers will lead UK to greatness. You should show more confidence in your country. Sally forth in this new adventure by firmly rejecting Europe and you will find what you're really made of.

So the ECJ has ruled that the UK can reverse Brexit without agreement.

A second referendum is complicated because there are effectively three options, deal, no deal or remain. But it's likely that people would find splitting the leave vote unacceptable. E.g. suppose the results were:

no deal - 30%
deal - 25%
remain - 45%

Is that a win for remain because 55% still voted to leave. And out of the leave votes no deal won.

So really you would needs two referendums with two choices in each but there is an argument that we've already voted to leave, so maybe the vote should be deal or no deal.

Well the UK parliamentary vote has been delayed. Largely because the deal as it stands hasn't a cat's chance in hell.

So no deal Brexit?
Remains to be seen but the deal is unpassable with the backstop clause and would probably still struggle even without it. A loss margin in excess of 100 seats was anticipated so the vote was aborted faster than a rape baby.

There will only be two choices, leave or remain.

Deal or no deal will have to be done by political representatives in the Parliament, not the citizens.

Once the MPs are done voting, a new citizen's vote can be conducted for leave or remain after considering whether they like the deal or not.

I think you should just give up Ireland, the unpatriotic noobs have been supporting EU on the sly. Let them face the consequences. Then when they are begging you to take you back you can magnanimously let them in.

I think ROI should join the UK. Now that the EU is making them pay on net there's no reason for them to stay in it. Most of their goods need to come through the UK anyway.

Meanwhile, Napoleon MkII has been defeated in France by people dressed as parking wardens, so things are looking down for the EU in general.

No, because that excludes the option of no deal.
