Indian Hypersonic Propulsion Developments

Yes, I had floated that theory and stated that we can take out 75% of Pak population in just 5 mins.

We have an overdue revenge from Pakistan. Punishment should be harsh. Punjabis Should be targeted with Division of Pakistan and POK and Baluchistan's integration with India and military pact with republic of Sindh.

Won't happen in Modi's term unless pak forces his hand.
The economic vision is clear from his administration. And it's a long term vision unlike 5 year plans we used to have. Won't let a munir derail it easily. But yeah, if munir and radicals keep this on and wage war... He might really take out his anger on them in full force. For interfering in economic growth 😂😂.

I am talking about political go ahead. Our forces are obviously brave enough to go take some blood interest from radicals.

What next, ideally? Airframe testing? Or more engine tests ?
Apparently, during this ground test the engine ran for >12 minutes. RM posted about it, then edited his post. 12 minutes of flight at Mach 6 would get you ~1500 kms. This was probably a max duration burn test to prove ignition, metallurgy, coatings, active cooling etc. We might need to do some trials to prove engine throttle-ability.

The next big milestone is to flight test this engine. To be able to do active cooling while flying at max speed/max range is the biggest remaining hurdle.

More engine test, such as propulsion & combustion tests, thermal structural test to test the thermal capabilities of the missile structure from nose cone to airframes, electronics and hardware tests, how the missile gonna react in the plasma sheild, the missile computer performance under noise & shockwave, They will run down few more tests before integrating into flying prototype, 2027 -2028 maybe first flying prototype

The 3 scramjet combustors we have seen so far:

CPOL:

Notice the insulated cooling pipes. This combustor used Ethylene gas as fuel.

NAL:

Cooling pipes without insulation. DRDO's new "Endothermic fuel" was used on this combustor.

SCPT:

This is the newest facility. Cooling channels have been internalized. Noticeably fewer external sensors, pipes etc. Sign of maturing combustor design. The 2 longest trial runs so far (720 sec & 1000 sec) has been conducted here.

This is relatively compact missile than I thought. That range extension part is correct & correlate with the theoretical representation in the papers we have seen. Here they used a single k4 booster stage. Now think of using A1P like dual stage setup with a small 2nd stage P2 , the range will definitely be in > 3000km or more, the P2 stage will provide high kinetic impulse in a horizontal axis ie almost parallel to Earth so the glide can sustain for a longer period.
15 mins or under for launch to hit is fantastic at that distance.
