Kashmir : Counter Terror Operation Updates and Discussions

Pakistan is a country of 20 crore, they have a lot of man power to continue such infiltration, and with the time these infiltration will rise.

Yep - and our soldiers and general people will keep dying. I wonder what our "doctrine" applies to!! The same "old story" is repeating in the "new normal"

True. While we target pak as per new normal on big terror attacks , this is a major missing link.

But, what really is apt doctrine for this? While terrorist have freedom to target anyone, our army can't target civilians. So, intelligence to the minute details would be needed for pre-emptive measures.
Or, we wait for our economy to grow, nation technology to improve, military to be stronger and tech savvy, Sudarshan chakra fully materialized..
Perhaps then we can make frequent surgical strikes as new doctrine.

Untill then, we can only improve our defensive posture by adopting technologies and being innovative. Wether it's drones, anti-infiltration grid, RCWS etc..

And our soldiers deserve more recognition than they currently get. Not just from the govt but society.

Don’t see why we can’t bomb the shit out of their posts close to the border and PoK every time there is a so called infiltration attempt!

Pak army barely maintains posts after 2014, ever since army got permission to use artillery freely as answer to cross borders shelling. And infiltration is easier during shelling, that's why their army uses it when they need to support infiltration with major motive.

As for These terrorists, they dont reside in a post but most of the time pose as civilians living on the hilly and forrested areas. They just infiltrate when it's their turn or whatever the mechanism ISI follows. So intelligence will see a regular "civilian" coming out of a home and go into forest.
And the game of cat and mouse begins.. with local support on both sides, staying at homes, in forest or marshes and try to make it over.

Army most prob gets an intelligence if people move towards the area. Like red/green signals from our assets there. Then it's upto army to keep surveillance. Heighten it based on intel.

How do you retaliate against it within the threshold. Since their posts are basically underground and significantly lower presence than previous decades. Leaves army to wait for intel on launch pads and no. of terrorists to see if strikes are feasible.

That's why I said Sudarshan chakra and AI based defense grid is the way to go untill we can take israel like offensive measures. ( need Israel vs hamas like power difference).

And for that we need indigineous tech ecosystem of that level. I believe in next 10 years we can achieve it enough to suppress infiltration to a larger extent.

Untill then, need to weed out their symphatisers our of mainstream media, politics etc.

My point is simple - make Pak military pay heavily - we know where they are located. Hit them at will inflicting heavy casualties following each such attempt. The math is simple, you send in 5 people and your 50 - 75 soldiers will die that night. Let’s see how long they can sustain playing this game.

Ofcourse we want it too.

But since it is inside Indian territory a swifter medical help can be a boon. I don't know if every team has a doc attached when sent on ops, to assist on the spot, or they are facing shortage of it? Can some one put light.

Well the only real option is, increase Balochistan insurgency and give covert support to TTP to ignite KPK again. Pak will be boxed in from 3 sides, the south, the east and the west.

Jammu and Kashmir: Terrorists building concrete underground bunkers deep within the dense forests

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir are confronting a formidable new challenge in their fight against terrorism. Terrorists infiltrating the region with the intent to attack security personnel have significantly altered their tactics. Moving away from their earlier practice of hiding in residential areas, they are now constructing sophisticated underground bunkers deep within the dense forests and rugged high peaks of the Kashmir Valley.

his strategic shift reflects the terrorists' response to intensified operations by security forces, which have disrupted their traditional methods of operation. By leveraging the challenging terrain of remote forests and mountainous regions, these groups aim to evade detection and sustain their activities, posing a complex challenge to the ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the region.
In a series of decisive operations, security forces in Jammu & Kashmir have dismantled multiple terrorist hideouts across South Kashmir in recent days, dealing a significant blow to terror networks in the region.

Following a fierce encounter in the Guddar area of Kulgam district, security forces uncovered and destroyed a sophisticated terrorist hideout nestled in a dense forested and mountainous region. The operation showcased the forces' precision and determination in tackling terrorism in challenging terrains.

In another significant breakthrough, a second hideout was demolished in the Churat Qazigund area of Kulgam district. This operation further disrupted the operational capabilities of terror groups in the region, highlighting the relentless efforts of the security forces.
This change in tactics reflects diminishing local support for terrorists, compelling them to establish bases in the remote jungles and mountains of the Kashmir Valley. The move underscores the growing pressure on terror groups as security forces intensify their operations.

During these operations, security forces recovered a range of items from the underground hideouts, including rations, gas stoves, utensils, weapons, and ammunition. These findings indicate that the hideouts were designed for prolonged use, further highlighting the evolving strategies of terror outfits.

Terrorists are increasingly seeking refuge in the dense forests and high-altitude terrains of Kashmir, particularly in the Pir Panjal range, which has emerged as a new hub for such activities.

Security forces remain on high alert, working tirelessly to dismantle the terror infrastructure across Jammu & Kashmir. Joint operations involving the Indian Army, Jammu & Kashmir Police, and other agencies have led to multiple recoveries, including arms, ammunition, and other logistical supplies critical to terrorist operations.

Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir are harnessing cutting-edge technology to locate and dismantle terrorist hideouts concealed within the dense forests of the region. Advanced tools such as high-resolution CCTV systems, state-of-the-art drones, and ground-penetrating radar (GPR) systems are being deployed to detect sophisticated underground bunkers hidden in remote and rugged terrains. This strategic use of technology enhances the precision and efficiency of operations, enabling forces to effectively counter the evolving tactics of terrorists and disrupt their networks in challenging environments.

........

Wtf is this. This is war!

In a sensational claim, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) terrorist Yasin Malik, who is serving a life sentence in a terror funding case, has said that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh personally thanked and expressed gratitude to him after he met Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder and 26/11 mastermind Hafiz Saeed in Pakistan in 2006.

In an affidavit submitted in the Delhi High Court on August 25 and seen by NDTV, Malik claimed that the meeting in 2006 was not his independent initiative but was held at the request of senior Indian intelligence officials as part of the backchannel peace process with Pakistan.

No wonder Congressi elites were more pained than the terrorist themselves from OP sindoor.
I thought he was merely allowed or not stopped.. but actively asked to meet is even bigger issue.
This vote bank politics has really harmed india. The fear that killing of terrorists in Pakistan will cause loss of votes from Indian muslims is in itself doubting the loyalty of Indian muslims that they so vehemently protest

This post addresses certain ethnic or racial targeting that is happening online as part of an effort that is well funded and co-ordinated. However, multiple OSINT accounts have published reports in context with defaming and targeting CT ops in the valley. This particular campaign has been running for longer and tends to use biased media snippets and coverage to present the IA and MHA in a certain light. The govt. has been ignoring these for a long period of time and suddenly woke up during OP Sindoor that IW had slipped away. You've never taken it seriously so why wouldn't the other side out gun you. Certain account owners are repeat offenders and reside in India, yet they have been ignored for years.

These are the kind of freelancers who end up providing the writing material for a certain set of bots and handles about CT. I had been looking to cite an example and this fits well.

If you look at the picture you can still spot a Scorpio being used to ferry troops. This is the situation of the CT ops and patrol units. Even though now LAVs or LAMVs are widely available, they are still not being ordered in sufficient quantities. I found a bunch of such pictures from recent years.

It is quite difficult to take CT ops seriously when you cannot even provide adequate protection from point A to point B.
