It will reach pakistani border soon
Hydra saheb, first let us successfully mass produce 5th gen fighter first and succeed in Aura programme. Stealth bomber is a huge undertaking, only countries with a mature aerospace ecosystem and large defence budget >= $150 billion can do it. Stealth bombers are NOT white elephants and are indeed hugely important for conventional and strategic roles but unfortunately India is not at the level to produce one for the next 20 years at least.Multiple pictures of H20 is surfaced now. Its time for us to have our own stealth bimber fleets. People who aays bombers are white elephant and obsolete should see this " Iran got hit by B2 with out a single loss of B2".
Its easy to build a stealth bomber than building a fighter jet. Just like rocket engine vs het engine.Hydra saheb, first let us successfully mass produce 5th gen fighter first and succeed in Aura programme. Yea I don't think so. If that was the case, China would have made H20 far before they made J20 or J35, and Pak DA of Russia would be flying by now. 5th gen bomber requires flying wing design and system of systems which is beyond the capability of India to make for the next 20 years at least. Maybe we can start an autonomous 5th gen bomber program in 2040 or 2045 once AMCA and Ghatak attains maturity. We already have a lot on our plate now, 5th gen fighter, Tejas, SSBN, Kusha, AD AH, Brahmos NG, Dhvani, LRHASM,AWACS, MKI MLU etc etc which are all begging for funds. Its easy to build a stealth bomber than building a fighter jet. For aerial assets like Tu160 and even Su 30 MKI, against China they will only he survivable if they can fire from beyond 600 km as BVRMs like PL17 can threaten things like Tu 160 and potentially Su 30 MKI. As such we need 800 km Brahmos ALCM but I recently read that it's only for navy and army. Air launched remains at 500 km. Is that true?We need:
1. Buy or lease around 10 Tu-160M2s from Russia.
2. Join Russia in PAK-DA project(use Su-57 deal as bargain to get into a JV).
3. Start our own stealth-bomber programme with an enlarged Ghatak variant as base.
Looking at what USAF did to Iran using B-2s, IAF can't afford to not have a bomber/stealth bomber.
800km air launched varient is not made as it is too heavy right now.For aerial assets like Tu160 and even Su 30 MKI, against China they will only he survivable if they can fire from beyond 600 km as BVRMs like PL17 can threaten things like Tu 160 and potentially Su 30 MKI. Su-30MKI defeated multiple PL-15s which are much more agile and lethal than the much bulkier PL-17. Tu-160M2 is not your generic lumbering subsonic bomber but a very fast supersonic bomber. Its RCS is also much lower than MKI(surprise, surpriseFor aerial assets like Tu160 and even Su 30 MKI, against China they will only he survivable if they can fire from beyond 600 km as BVRMs like PL17 can threaten things like Tu 160 and potentially Su 30 MKI.
) So both of them would defeat PL-17 rather easily. HQ-9 etc. are a bigger threat to both but then there are ways around this problem.ShhhhAs such we need 800 km Brahmos ALCM but I recently read that it's only for navy and army. Air launched remains at 500 km. Is that true?

Yeah, but another angle is, it also forced the fighter jets to run away/retreat, now it's lucky if payload is already delivered, but if engaged before delivering payload then mission will be abandoned as fighter will need to go on defensive and retreat back to protect itself.Su-30MKI defeated multiple PL-15s which are much more agile and lethal than the much bulkier PL-17.
