enclosed stadiums like tyagraj stadium, talkatora etc, empty flats in NRC, shuld be handed over to military to prepare for at least 1 million mild cases quarantine facilities. Just be ready as the case goes up one can add the chambers.

According to my estimation, there are already 600 cases roaming outside or unaware of the fact that they are infected.

As of today there are 12 countries with almost 10k or more known cases. The puzzling part is extremely low mortality rate in Germany. Either they have really strong genes or their testing rate is 10x better than their neighbors.

Americans wait for the last moment to head to hospital, because of insurance costs. They prefer to self-medicate and then dial 911 when the pain is unbearable. By that time, pneumonia is in its advanced stage. Also, demographically, they seem to have weaker immunity.

It's not like that bro.

In developed countries or you can say out side India, there is no concept of going to hospital. The system outside is, every one has a family doctor. They call them and he sees the patient. And when he writes to the hospital only then hospitals sees the patient.

For normal flu or mild symptoms, it is advised stay at home as it gets better automatically. No doctor gives you medicine except paracetamol or some cough syrup.

Actually outside India there is no concept of giving strong doses or medication unless until it is urgent.

Emergency will not admit you if you go there for some headache or some fever or something. Emergency means emergency, either you come by ambulence or some brings you to hospital in a very bad condition. If you go, they will make you sit there for 2-3 hours.

In India there is a rush all the time even for soar throat at emergency.

I think he ought to be shot. Not for spreading misinformation that too of the most infantile kind but because he's stupid much like those entitled fools who came into India & didn't self quarantine. Your views @Bali78

I fail to understand why isn't kejri and randitv batsurds are not arrested even after all this.

Of course these fools should be shot dead. I don't care whether these idiots live or die, but because of their stupidity millions of innocent people will suffer through unimaginable misery and some will loose life as well !!

You are confusing America and Canadian medical practice. "Family Practice" is very much a thing in Canada. In USA, it is nothing. Most doctors are associated with hospitals. In USA, you often go to the doctor or hospital which is supported by your insurance provider. Yes, it is this *censored*ed up in USA. A pregnancy, uninsured, can cost 1 million dollar.

Canada has a system of family practice. You have a family doctor but you cann't go to a specialist unless you are referred. Trouble is, most doctors are already "full". I am in a city which is a major city and most of the population does not have any family doctor. Because there are not enough family practitioners. So we visit what is called as a "walk-in" clinic.

Actually outside India there is no concept of giving strong doses or medication unless until it is urgent.
It totally depends upon doctor or the case. BTW, US folks are the MOST over-medicated. Unlike India, companies can DIRECTLY advertise medicines to general public. Prescription medication is advertised like smartphone. And people go crazy asking their docs to prescribe that medication to them. Also, US medical practice does a lot of un-necessary tests for no good reason. Because of legal liability.

Actually most *censored*ed up part of USA and Canada is that some pain medicines are prescribed which are essentially narocotics. Things like Fentanyl. We have an epidemic of deaths due to this medication. It is highly habit forming and some doctors prescribe it FOR PROFIT. They are actually "pill mills", prescribing pain meds for practically recreational purposes.

Sometime google "Fentanyl Epidemic" to see what really goes on in USA. There is a series on the same on netflix, if that is your thing.

Emergency will not admit you if you go there for some headache or some fever or something. Emergency means emergency, either you come by ambulence or some brings you to hospital in a very bad condition. If you go, they will make you sit there for 2-3 hours.
Errr.... Nope. If you show up in emergency they will take you in. They will triage you. In Canada you may spend 10-12 hours waiting for your turn, if you are triaged to be "Not so serious". I once spent one whole day waiting in emergency room with a friend for a 2 minute appointment. All round me people were having high fever, coughing and what not.

Sometimes in Canada, you own doctor instructs you to go to emergency because otherwise the wait may be in months. For example you have pain in back. Its pain but its not life threatening. So you need a MRI. They will put you on MRI wait list which can be 5-6 months long. Now what will happen is that your doc may tell you to visit emergency to get the MRI done faster.

In India there is a rush all the time even for soar throat at emergency.
Trust me, in terms of Banking and Medical services, unless you are not from a really poor family, being in India under normal circumstances is way better than Canada.

Dont'r try to preach what you don't know. In west there is a system of clinics without clinical prescription you can't get admitted in a hospital. Even in clinics they avoid giving you medication for flu and if the case is serious, the refer to the hospitals.

If you directly go to the hospital, they won't take unless until it is emergency (if they think) or you have a reference of a doctor.

And if you want to show at a government hospital, wait 4 months before you get an appointment.

It's not like that bro.
BTW, in essence he is not wrong. Medication is super expensive in USA. Once I tried to buy an emergency contraceptive after my condom broke.... It costed me 80 dollars or so.

Some people actually RATION their insulin because of this. YES, it is so *censored*ed up. And they die. Insulin is extremely expensive in USA. In India you can get it quite reasonably.

Depends when you get an appointment. Insurance is a problem in US, but then it also depends which state you are in, well most of the states have similar system. If it is in your panel, you can visit.

That is what exactly I said, go there wait for hours

That's similar to european system, Hospital will not see you unless until you have a reference. Please tell that to @_Anonymous_

In fact the advisory is there these days that call your family doctor if you have any symptoms they will tell you and if you have some serious trouble call the emergency service.

Forget Insulin, even a generic medicine like Paracetamol costs 30 US dollars.

Wrong! If you call a hospital and tell that you are having an emergency they will redirect you to 911. You call them, they come to your home and take you to the hospital. Hospital will most likely keep you. Atleast for tirage and opinion of doctor. You will end up paying through your nose if you don't have an insurance. And if you are in USA, its even worse. You have to know WHICH hospital and what treatment is covered and what are the deductibles. Insurance is a bait and switch in USA.
Hospital will not see you unless until you have a reference.
Its nuanced. Hospital will take you if you come as an emergency patient. You will have to wait. Referrals usually take time and if you want to go to private doctors to skip the line, it is NOT impossible. Only issue is you have to be really rich. It costs a lot. In Canada, Montreal is the capital of private care.

I was talking about in case of non emergency cases.

. Emergency means emergency, either you come by ambulence

There I think you are wrong. They will surely take you in. If you called an ambulance (via emergency services), you will go by that. But even if you don't have ambulance and showed up like that, they will take you in. You will most likely sit in the waiting area for the doctor to arrive after being triaged.

I have seen many people feeling light headed due to dehydration being injected saline in ER. They usually come alone or with a buddy. Most of the time, nurses who do triage know how to deal with triage.

I once saw a couple whose boy had jumped from the bed. Boy was A-okay and it was their third time like that. They came in because they were worried. They waited 5 hours --I was there for whole day-- and doctor saw the baby and they went home.

ER atleast in Canada is a sort of "Catch all" because of long delays elsewhere. Its a somewhat broken system but still it covers practically everyone.
