Not sure if any amount of days is enough. I don't believe this is meant to stop the infections, but meant to reduce the stress on our medical facilities while alternate arrangements are made. Only curfews and quarantines can stop the actual spread. Once flights resume, more infected will come in anyway.
We need to build very large quarantine facilities capable of holding thousands of people at a time. Thankfully the govt's done a very good job buying time, but everything will fall apart if the time they bought is not utilised properly. Or else people are going to start living like refugees in makeshift camps.
We also need tons of isolation wards and portable toilets.
Our entire senior citizen population is already at risk, and now it's come to notice in the US that even those between 20-60 are at risk of hospitalisation.
In the end, all geese are cooked. You can delay it but you cann't avoid it. Hope we get those 1 million testing kit on hand soon. This makes me feel may be Naizi was intelligent after all. He threw the towel right from the start. Smart move.
They are saying that by the middle of April we will enter community transmission.
It's unrealistic to avoid it because even those who have immunized themselves are still carrying the virus for months after, ready to infect others, at the same time they can fall sick again, just like common cold.
Right now it's all about how well our health infrastructure can cope with the current problem until the entire population is immunised to the point that people can take care of themselves at home the next time it hits, like a regular viral fever.
It appears most of us, especially the ones in cities, will get infected. Until then it's about buying time.

Did my own research from multiple sources, IBEF put total international passengers in India to be 65 million for 2019, out of this around 10 millions are foreigners (ministry of tourism). That makes 55 millions of Indians or 4.5 million Indians per month or 1.5lacs per day.
But IBEF was not clear on inbound or outbound traffic, it said international passengers so let's divide it by 2 as it count 2 passengers for 1 trip (outbound and inbound) that will make 75 thousands per day inbound roughly.
So that report corroborates the data. Also UNWTO puts total Indians traveling to abroad in 2019 to be 50 millions, which will again put number at 1,40,000 Indians per day. (Source)
