If you believe Ukrainian propaganda, then how are you expected to understand Russian objectives? That's the issue here, with both you and Hydra.

You don't know what the Russian objective is, how they are accomplishing it and how successfully they are doing it.

It's funny, right? Ukr is "winning", but it's Russia that's taking territory.

Russia hasn't taken any territory for about 2 weeks now and it has 2,000 soldiers soldiers in a town north of Kherson.

What I don't understand about you. You saw them try take Kyiv and fail and withdraw, you saw them try take Odessa and fail, you saw them booted off Snake Island and out of Kharkiv and several towns in the Kherson region. Are you unable to understand reality?

Few things which most members forget here is that after the debacle in the first stage of the war during attack on Kiev, the Russians have switched to east and south and their role is mostly confined to supplying arms to the forces of the Luhansk and Donetsk. Russian forces are mostly providing fire support, AD and material with very limited actual combat. The real combat has been outsourced to mercenaries from various parts of Russia.

Russia has had 12,000-14,000 of its own military in the Donbass since 2014. It took a Russian court to admit it.

A Russian court has acknowledged the country's armed forces are present in the eastern part of Ukraine. The Kremlin has persistently denied the presence of Russian forces in the Donbas region.

They have shedloads now, their patches have been collected of dead bodies, so clearly they are not rear echelon only.

So if I put a Wagner patch on a Russian soldier he no longer counts as Russian forces? Wagner is the Russian government trying to sidestep responsibility for getting Russians killed en masse.

Need ATACMS for that, since bigger SAMs are not in operation in the newly occupied territories.

The ones in Donbas, Kherson etc have smaller SAMs like the Pantsir, Tor and Buk. But those sites are being targeted by Ukr with limited success. Can't do anything without expanding the size of the rocket forces to hundreds actually.

I am an Indian, i do not need to propagate the propoganda of anyone other than GOI. I m treating both Ukrain & Russia equally in this war, so asper me Russian actin is completely against the international law( of course unwritten ) just like the US action in Iraq.

After the Donbas operation started, Western propaganda went up by many notches, to the point where even NATO officers are openly lying about what's happening. Do you know why? The Russians are demonstrating capabilities that even NATO is not prepared to handle. And the Ukrainians are getting slaughtered in numbers that even the US cannot handle without WW2-level mobilisation. That's how bad it is.

Putin always wanted to recreate the SU, but he didn't. Why? Recreating the SU meant handing over other Eastern European states to the US. And that's exactly what's happening now. This war, that Putin so desperately wanted to avoid but egged on by the US, has practically handed over almost all of Europe to the US, particularly Eastern Europe. And in the meantime, the sanctions will significantly weaken Western Europe both economically and politically.

The ultimate long term goal of the US is to push Russia closer to China and away from countries like India and the ME and North Africa. This couldn't be done without Russia actively working to recreate the SU.

You personally have nothing to complain about though. As the principle ally of the US, this war benefits the UK too.

Why, because I called out your glaring hypocrisy? Russia has hung on to its colonial territories and is trying to acquire more territory. People complain that it's bad to sanction Russia because it has a lot of natural resources people need. Well the reason it has so much is because it took so much through imperialism, allowing further theft of territory and resources through Russian imperialism will only make the situation even worse in the future. Does anyone really wanted Russia getting bigger? Do you want 1.75% of the world's population controlling over 20% of its natural resources?
