Ukrainians are fighting for their freedom and independence; they're fighting to live in a democratic country with the rule of law. It's pretty much the exact opposite of nazism. The russians are fighting to force other people to live under their fascist dictatorship.
The war is not a scam; it's a real colonial war from a failing empire that wants to restore its imperial greatness through aggression. There's nothing fake about russian war crimes. I suppose it is a scam for fooled Indians who get told they'll have a well-paid and perfectly safe job in russia doing some logistics task and then find out that they're actually sent to charge a Ukrainian fortified position on a Chinese motorbike and they're not actually getting paid because they're expected to die anyway. Yeah, for those idiots, it is a scam. But any deal that russia offers is always a scam.
