Studies basically showed that the previous UK nuclear carrier never did anywhere near 10,000nm between stops, and even ignoring that factor you have refuelling ships. So a nuclear power plant wasn't selected because a) it's unnecessary and b) it costs more.

That doesn't make any sense though, whilst exports to the EU may reduce, we are a 3:1 net importer of cars, and Nissan will have a massive opportunity to replace Renaults, Peugeots and Citroens in the UK with reliable Japanese automobiles. The market they stand to gain is 3 times as large as the one they stand to lose.

T45s are new, so teething troubles. And when you say noisy, because of the 100 mile thing, you underestimate the distances things can be heard from under water. Whales can be heard from 1,000 miles away.
