Russian Military Technology : Updates and Discussions

Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters have begun using new low-visibility missiles S-71K and S-71M. This was also reported by Ukrainian media. So far, there are only photos of the new ammunition. This is a hybrid of a drone and a S-71M Monochrome missile and low-visibility cruise missiles S-71K Carpet. The first mentions of the S-71 appeared in 2019. There is no information with characteristics on them, officially they are still undergoing tests, so far only assumptions are published. We publish patent images showing the operation of the S-71 drones. Judging by them, the drone launched from the aircraft will search for the line of combat contact and independently search for targets. The estimated range of the S-71 ammunition is up to 350 km, with a flight altitude of 5 to 75 meters. Flight speed from 730 to 950 km / h

The first footage of the production of one of the most popular Russian FPV drones "VT-40", the video was shot by journalist Alexey Egorov. The Rubicon Unmanned Technology Center is now actively using these drones, among others. The "VT-40" drone was developed in 2022 by the "Russian Drone" company, and since 2023 they have been actively used by the "Sudoplatova - Judgment Day" project. The "VT-40" drone is named after war correspondent Vladlen Tatarsky. As can be seen from the video, the production is quite large-scale, now up to 1000 drones can be assembled per knock by order of the Ministry of Defense. Several types of "VT-40" drones are currently being produced. The FPV drone's configuration allows it to work with various types of ammunition weighing from 1.3 to 4.5 kg at a distance of 7 to 30 km, when using a repeater. Drones can be equipped with a night vision camera and have control via fiber-optic cable. FPV drones "VT-40" are considered inexpensive, the price is about 50 thousand rubles or $ 500.

A Russian Army UAZ-452 with a homemade studded anti-drone system. The UAZ-452 was developed at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant in the 1960s. Russian military personnel installed a homemade anti-drone system on the vehicle, consisting of rebar spikes. This is one of the most unusual anti-drone systems recently unveiled. Although the vehicle resembles a vehicle from the film "Mad Max," this protection is quite effective today. It's worth noting that the windshield is a weak point.
