Pakistan Army Casualty tracker : Updates & Discussions

I have a different perspective on this. Even if the PA did declare all their casualties, it wouldn't make a difference to the general population. The reason being the PA has a well oiled information warfare network which can spin this into a jihad. Civic awareness, anti war sentiments, anti PA sentiments , etc which aren't well organised to begin with nor carry much heft within the civil society of Paxtan, will stand no chance against the state narrative of Jihad fi sabil'illah & nazariya e Paxtan.

The principal reason why the PA isn't going public is to less to do with protecting their aura of invincibility among the general population & more to do with their concerns of how the ordinary serving PA jawan may react.

Like us, the PA definitely faces an issue with obsolete arms, lack of self protective equipment, platforms, etc due to severe financial constraints, except that it's much more worse than what the IA faces plus the fact that they're facing running Insurgencies or unrest within every province of their nation.

Having said that, I also believe they haven't fully factored in the impact that micro blogging sites like Twitter & social media like FB has on free flow of information or if they have , they've certainly been unable to counter it.
You know what they do to the bodies of Abducted Balochis ?
They throw them on the roof of their home from helicopter to make the families feel helplessness.

The Balochis don't make up more than 2-4% of the actual population of Paxtan. That's one of the reasons India has been reluctant to support a full blown insurgency there. At best they may be good enough to tie down significant portions of the security forces there but the day the PA launches an equivalent of Operation Searchlight, the Balochis would have it. All of Balochistan would be heading to Afghanistan or Iran lock stock & barrel.

Agree. They have to surrender to some Punjabis General like Tikka khan one day unless Pindi somehow outdo itself and a situation like 71 will develop with Pashtuns in future. I think Iran holds the key there

Well of course Pakistan will spin it to jihad in front of fanboys and Nationalists. Hiding casualties have few other advantages. Let's say if Pakistan do not hide Casualty it suffers in Balochistan, that will only increase the moral of Baloch & Pashtun fighters and motivate more to join the resistance.

Hiding Casualty is an easy way to deny the other side more publicity and moral.

When I spend time tracking news of military operation in Kashmir, I come across lots of terrorist sympathizers. One thing I always notice is that when few encounters in succession, with no casualties on Indian side and many on terrorist side, they are literally crying , bitching, loosing all hopes & moral

However, their moral is better when 1 soldier die along with say, 3 terrorists.

How much you believe in an ideology, peoples loose moral if the other side seems undefeatable. Hiding casualties is good for that purpose.llly, their moral increase when they see other side taking casualties. Making PA casualties public as much possible works in our favour.

PA gave lot of jihadcoolaid to its troops, but it still lost moral and surrendered in East Pakistan with just 2000 casualties. Jihad coolaid is not unbreakable.

Well, how much does Kashmiris makes compared to Indian population? 7 million out of 1,300 million is less than 0.6%, but that didn't stop PA from supporting insurgency, does it?

Pakistan have about 7 million Baloch making majority in atleast 30% of Pakistani territory, well suitable for guerilla warfare. There is good enough room for supporting Baloch insurgency, and it can bleed Pakistan.

It's the lack of political will, information warfare, diplomatic clout and friends that diminishes our chance for success. Government of India sucks at creating narrative. Pakistan was successful in creating a narrative in Kashmir ( with the help of our own kind) , but we failed to make anything similar in Balochistan.

No 373: Zahoor Khan, killed by TTP in Bajaur.
ISPR still acknowledged Casualty. Previously, TTP said body is still lying in battle field and PA is not picking up

It's ikram saad not imran salad. There's no mention of his being in the pak armed forces too. Plus he's had a "drink of martyrdom ", whatever that means.

Ahh.. Thanks for pointing out. Phone's autocorrect thought Ikram saad should be Imran salad 😄

"drink of martyrdom" is some horrible translation of some common Islamic prayer/phrase. Google translate always shows it as "drink of martyrdom"

He died stopping terrorist, he had to be from security forces.
