Before doing that, we should analyses the situation. I feel Tanks & tank warfare is outdated in this age.
Always look at what global powers are doing instead of merely what people are saying.
Right now the Russians are introducing a new generation of tank. And the French-Germans have also begun work on a new gen tank. The Americans are now even equipping their infantry with tanks. The Chinese have not just introduced new tanks, but have also mechanised or motorised their entire army.
So you want to sit out of all that? What's your plan, walk to the battlefield like the armies of the Colonial era?
Plenty of people say tanks are outdated or obsolete, but they are all either people who do not know what they are saying or are people with an agenda.
Look at this article for example:
The supercarrier – the long arm of the USA’s military power – is getting its biggest rethink since the end of the Cold War For a look at the biggest, grandest and arguably mightiest warship in history, search no further than the US Navy’s (USN’s) newest aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R Ford...

Basically saying it's a bad idea to go for large carriers in the future. They are basically attempting to kickstart such a debate in countries like India, China, Russia etc in order to prevent them from going for large carriers as well, or at least delay them until 2026-27, when the US has "apparently" made a decision. Very, very conniving some people are.
The thing about tanks is, only a tank can reliably defeat another tank. All other types of anti-tank systems require specific conditions to be met before they can be used. And even with all the advances made in the field of aviation, there is still nothing in the world today that can match the stopping power of a tank. And now, those same advances made in the field of aviation are now being deployed in tanks as well, like advanced cockpit, radar, anti-missile defences etc.
