More tank formation means more tank targets.Tanks never go solo in a war.
Steps are taken to suppress enemy ATGM and copters.
Thanks are fast moving artillery for the least.

These are actual combat footages.
Mortars could be transported up in the mountains but Artillery was problematic, and in this type of combat movement is key. If you cannot move faster than the enemies, you are dead.
Ignore video title. This is Afghanistan border area and they are fighting TTP.
Here tank came handy
RPG?
Plenty in their hands.
RPG7 like original AK47s is less and less available. Chinese RPG7 copies with Anti personal HE rounds and newer Anti armour HEAT rounds are used.Is it just RPG-7s or newer models as well
Bhai it’s Insurgency unless you’re fighting with your own country men and consider them as foreigners in their own ancestral land alas “Dushman ke bacchon ko padhana hai”Every weapon system has its specific place in war planning.
Tanks worked wonders in
It went to places where artillery could not have gone.
It acted like a mobile fortress, protecting soldiers from enemy fire.View attachment 16951
You can fight with ttp using tank, not against indian army effectively. Same applies to india too, we cannot fight you with tanks. These are actual combat footages.

I am not going to reply to the many assumptions you are making in this comment.Bhai it’s Insurgency unless you’re fighting with your own country men and consider them as foreigners in their own ancestral land alas “Dushman ke bacchon ko padhana hai”
Your military is this much thick. I mean can you imagine IA shouting ‘Hamain Bajawa ke bacchon ko padhana hai’ or ‘Musharraf ke bacchon ko padhana hai’.
Bhai I’m not trying to disrespect your country and army but IMO it’s stupid and counterproductive for your own good too. Just think of it.
You people have habit of demonising you opponent using everything included race, religion, ethnicity, sect etc to motivate your people and make them do things only animals can do. Like your shouting ‘Death to kaffir/occupier/rapist IA’ or the recent clip wher a 3year old child prompted by his Muslim father talking casually about killing every Hindu in Islamabad/Pakistan.
It may help you to achieve short term goals. But look how you people have progressed over years by doing this.
PS: sorry for derailing your otherwise good posts. Hope you don’t mind and continue with sharing beautiful pictures

Actually we may find a uniformed conventional army easier to fight, compared to the unconventional and complicated war we been fighting. You can fight with ttp using tank, not against indian army effectively. Same applies to india too, we cannot fight you with tanks.
Thank you Jinnah. If partition didn't happen, we'd be wasting meagre resources tackling these barbarous tribes. It's good to see PA carry forth both the Khalsa Durbar's & the British Raj's legacy.Actually we may find a uniformed conventional army easier to fight, compared to the unconventional and complicated war we been fighting.
This is a sample video. What's going on here is an infighting between two local tribes .
You can see how successfully they are using the terrain to their advantage, have no shortage of ammo and are well trained, because they pick up guns at age 7-8.
By the time they are 17 they already have 10 years of experience with guns.
its mobile so you can flee back easily and can avoid the risk of surrender . its added bonusEvery weapon system has its specific place in war planning.

Where is Al-Jahalat III ???
IA should not fall back for this tactics. Modern tanks can be easily taken down by attack helicopters & atgms. Induct Apache ss more, LCH, Namica to counter this.Estimated numbers are as low as 300-350, enough to fill an entire strike corps with 7 regiments, or as high as 1000, which is 22 regiments. If it's the latter, then along with the T-80 and AK, they will have well over 1500 modern tanks over the next few years.
Likely that it's being paid via soft loans or grants or a mix of both.
So are helicopters. But there's a cost benefit ratio to having them around in spite of the high attrition rates they're subject to. In time to come these platforms would be completely unmanned.
Fully agrees with him. Tanks are of yester years warfighting machines.
I dont think a 5cr vehicle filled with 3-4 highly trained personas are cheap to spare. So are helicopters. But there's a cost benefit ratio to having them around in spite of the high attrition rates they're subject to. In time to come these platforms would be completely unmanned.
