Our approach has been reactive even under this leadership. What you need is continuous suppression. GD Bakshi is completely right to be honest. The Agniveer program either needs to be completely removed or made a side shown. We need massive expansion in the Army, Airforce and Navy. Especially Army and Airforce. Our active personal need to reach 1.5-2 million and the Airforce should aim for 100 squadrons of combat aircrafts +50-70 squadrons for support,transport aircrafts.
Also we need to send a message right now. Maybe ineffective in the long term but enough to smack them for two-three years. By that time our intelligence agencies need to be restructured and need to be centralised. So should the CAPF's.
RR and Assam rifles need to completely come under the armed forces with joint management by the MOH and MOD. And reduce the f'ing bureaucracy within the military and CAPF's. BSF,ITBP,SSB need to come under kne umbrella organisation and massive investment needs to be done on their intelligence gathering capabilities and offensive capabilities. SSB should be invested in further. Get them surveillance drones and artillery and infantry equipment.
Our entire security apparatus is a hodge-podge of multiple organisations not knowing what's their jurisdiction.
The Special forces need to be expanded and tier 1 and tier 2 and tier 3 units need to be made. There needs to be massive investment in SF. Heck take the help from the Americans and Russian advisors. This whole lethargy is why these things continue to happen.

This time something really big is being planned. IN and IAF are ready to go into combat right now. IA has asked for just 4 days for IBGs to roll out as the battle plans for an exigency like this had been prepared long back. ISRO and friendly countries are already sharing data about the deployment of Pak Army and PAF. All options including an all out war with complete dismemberment of Pakistan are on the table. The final decision is now with Modi. My hunch says that we will go for POJK in a limited war and may destroy and cause maximum damage to Pak Army. Complete tonnage of PN will be sent to the bottom of Arabian sea and PAF being rendered unfit to fly as anykind of Force. You will the destructive power of S-400 in its full spectrum for the first time.

Bhatsna is currently under prototype phase. So we will have to do with Kadi Ninda mk2.

Mk2 being kadi ninda delivered multiple times.

I will be surprised if we even start pounding all across the LoC like we used to do few years back.

This time it is very different. Civilians have been killed and Modi has been challenged directly.

It has already started. The ceasefire is dead.

If you look at the so called international boundary betweem J&K and Pakistan, you will see it goes over the tops of Pir Panjal ranges and gives us a direct view of complete Islamabad and Rawalpindi and they are just 130kms from the border. We need to get back that land of POJK to be able to stop the infiltration and dominate Pakistan. The original border between India and Afghanistan starts from Khyber pass. As from there started the plains if Punjab. You can see in the map posted below that there is flat land west of Pir Panjal ranges till Khyber pass.

Post balakote the orders were not to escalate. Now the orders are be prepared for Nuke Pre-emptive strike on Pakistan. Our NFU very clearly states that If Indian armed forces or India is threatened by nuke attack, India reserves the right to strike with massive city busters. We need not be attacked by nukes but any move to strike us by Nukes will allow us to fire in pre-emptive strike. Long back I had posted how 75% of pakistan population can be taken out by us in just five minutes. The moment any TEL moves out, India will fire its nukes at Pakistan. Modi is in no mood to spare Pakistan this time as this isneeded to send a clear message to Bangladesh as well

MKI with Derby-ER could have caused heavy casualty to PAF formation during Swift Retreat. Still in 2024 the same scenario is repeating and we would be damned if IAF didn't covertly integrate Derby-ER with MKI. Thankfully for us we've 36 Rafales/S-400 with Meteor/40N6, otherwise PAF J-10CE with PL-15 could've caused serious problem for us.

If i get pm/dm post in 2014, the thing i would have done will be
1) signing original MRFA with an option of staged upgradation & additional examples ,within 2 years
2)Replacing early model's of MKI with combination of F15& F35. Would have asked for F110 engine TOT to design a new SE medium fighter.
3)Replacing T72s with lecrec tanks
4)More Apaches(in hundres) & Chinook
5)k9 vajras ,note less than 1000s
6)Definitely go for the original Israeli Howitzers
7) will not even think about s400 would have gone for stunner or Patriot .
8)Would have drop Mk1a for MK2
9)will not even think about anniversary.
10.Signing Biho deal
11.would have mated foreign weapons on LCH & would've placed orders for LCH.
12. FN SCAR as a standissue rifle instead of AK.

If NDA government has done the above mentioned things, then yeas i would have asked for full blown war for now.

Yes i know. My understanding is mortars were used.

Pulling in artillery would have caused a lot of namaz e janazas tonight. People are claiming upto 12 pakistanis were taken out. Again some of them might have been from other provinces so I might have missed the social media updates in pak.

We shouldn't have traded pir panjal in the first place, that was foolish of us giving them back, after fighting a Hard battle to gain it,
and it's big time to change the procurement policy of ours, the Indian mic has started showing us the potential, with so many genuine private players who are making Good products, it's time for ramp up the production, Also it may be the chance for us to show the world, what the Indian weapons can do

Thats the problem with our govts they dont have a long term plan, we need to continuously keep up the pressure on pakistan. They attack us, go silent , then we forget then after some time another incident takes place. Govt needs to stop reacting to every incident & military should take over the handling of matters with pakistan. Problem is our politicians are more interested in taking mileage for elections than responding to pakistan.
