Operation Sindoor: India Strikes Terroist Camps Inside Pakitsan

Under DTTI, there were plans to jointly develop a roll-on, roll-off Elint system for IAF C-130Js + an unspecified type of air-launched UAV. Probably scrapped like many other initiatives, including 2 Raytheon ISTAR/AGS. We now have IDDM progs for all of these.

IAF starts something, DRDO screams no, IAF is forced to end. Same old story.

The Americans have the "Angry Kitten" pod for it though. With a potential plan to buy some more C-130s, this could become an addition. Since our C-130Js are meant for SF role, it needs EW.

It is not exaggerated, Kota Harinarayan who was the chief designer of LCA Tejas has already mentioned that the source code issue is genuine. And not just source code, during negotiations when India talks about ToT, the counterpart discourages it and offers total outsource instead of indigenous development in India.

Why would he have anything good to say about MRFA? He doesn't want any direct competitor to HAL, it has nothing to do with the good of the country.

If news about the IN initially requesting for Uttam on Rafale-Ms is true, source code negotiations have likely been at a fairly advanced stage already. But France has always been uneasy about integrating local/third-party systems to its hardware. For eg, DA wasn't happy when we chose to fit Litening over Damocles LDP to M2000 during Kargil.

Just DRDO interfering, nothing special to see here.

He has already mentioned that apart from HAL the IAF needs a new vendor for a new production line could be TATA, L&T or any other private firm. Says, testing facility requires a lot of funding, just 1000 crores for one, they require multiple.

That's not a competitor, that's a subcontractor.

Bro gave himself Pat in the back for imaginary interception all for feel good moment ( sab changa C ) ..... Aand forces intercepted 10 time more Brahmos than what India fired in first place 😁

Brahmos has indeed put Pakistan in a dilemma. A slick commercial to market it well is definitely due to be honest.

The best one that I have read so far has been from RUSI. Balanced language resulting in a less agenda driven or a divisive take. Most intl. folks would find it palatable.

Calibrated Force: Operation Sindoor and the Future of Indian Deterrence

Gen Raj Shukla said something very important in a recent interview - India cannot stop others from talking about potential aircraft losses. So what we have to do to regain control over the narrative is to own the losses. So that's what CDS did with his high profile interviews.

There may be more to it, but at a minimum this is what CDS did: he robbed Pakistan of their prime reason of declaring this as their victory.

HIs message is simple: yes there were losses because of tactical errors, but we learned from them and applied our learnings with great success on May 9/10

If the losses were from tactical errors that were later rectified, they were NOT because of:
a/ superior Chinese weapons (denies space to China shills)
b/superior Pakistani tactics that would indicate that they can dominate IAF (denies space to Field Marshal)
c/ inferiority/lack of resources on IAF side (denies salesmen of foreign weapon systems)

This should not have come at Singapore in front of Bloomberg. It should have been a part of IAF debrief. Also, we should end this drama of "Op Sindoor is still on". End the operation and keep the prepration on OR let India execute it fully. All this "hot on" is really very poor choice.
