The J-series is not the problem. The challenge is the BVRs that it can be armed it. There should be no doubts that the PL missiles pose a threat. Acknowledging issues and working on countermeasures is a sign of maturity (irrespective of the origin of the OEM).

Depends on whose data you consider. If you look at specific OSINT accounts that are India centric, they will tend to align with this view. However, there are other non-subcontinent based OSINT accounts, that will tell you otherwise. The correct thing would be to take into account that it can pose a threat.
The actual capabilities are known only to the Pakistani, the Indian, and Chinese military.
My 2 paisa worth thoughts 
If we can knock out their Airbases and Ground Radars , , ie if the Fighters have to Run around to save themselves from getting destroyed on the ground Then what is the use of these long range BVRs
For example When we started knocking out their Air Bases , the J 10s were nowhere to be seen on May 10
Also the S 400 can cause a complete breakdown of their Strike packages by taking down AWACS and Any Fighter that comes close to the border
But at the same time we do need R 37 and Astra Mk 2 and Meteors

This is in response to the narrative that was being built up recently.
We almost did procure AIM-120C8 when we had planned the procurement of NASAMS back during Trump 1.0
To integrate on which jet ?
On a russian one : not possible.
On a french one ? You already have Meteor (or you will have... as there is a mystery there).
On an indian one ? Maybe on the Tejas fitted with israeli avionic.... But then it is a direct competitor to ASTRA (1? more ASTRA 2) so unfriendly.
We can only integrate it on Tejas or Rafales or Mirage 2000
But then we have MICA , Meteor and Astra Mk2 coming up

They were there, lucky to land a few minutes before getting their runways neutralised by Rafales
There is a DoD program doing exactly this for Ukraine.
For the AMRAAM, another complexity is in giving it targeting information before it leaves the rail, keep feeding it updated information. An Airborne Radar (Phalcon ??) could do the same. Jugaadbaazi but doable.
These daily encounters and firefight are only signaling that war with Pakistan is just a matter of time. It is due to the agencies and forces fighting daily otherwise by now dozens of Pahalgam and worse could have happened. And not just that, they intentionally left women to give a message of their filthy intentions.
More the reason I hate the 0.5 front inside india. And no, it's not about Muslim population.
