Alan Warnes ("PAF's own stenographer") says that IAF successfully struck the operations room with BrahMos. Hitting the ops room at PAF's premier base where all their J10s are based during wartime would've severely degraded their C2 node, situation awareness, planning & execution.
IAF maintains it as hit on "airfield infra" like Jacobabad energy/cooling centre.

A rational nation would think about economics. The PA has no such obligations. There are always others who will throw a loan or two if things ever turn dire.
AMRAAM need a data link to refresh the target location at least mid course. That needs a strong integration with the radar. Absolutely not possible with a russian radar (in the Mig case). It was also the reason why MBDA didn't accept to integrate Meteor of Tejas because of the israeli radar.
A anti radar missile is in this way easier to integrate because the target is mainly fixed or slow moving.
There is a program trying to use the data from Airborne Radar platforms to guide the missile. Wouldnt work for Ukraine - US wont send an AWACs and Europe has too few to spare.
India with its Phalcon potentially can.
Anyways the point of the post was highlight its not impossible. Practically IAF can do much better.

So is pakistan bluffing to hide its AD failing and trying to reign in more power for its *field marhsal* or is it genuinely trying to provoke India into a proper war? cause that would be incredibly stupid with the current state of the pakistani economy but maybe theyre getting some confidence from the defence pact they signed with saudi arabia to source money for their escapades
You don't understand the jihadi mentality. The economy is not their concern. Neither there family feels sad. It's a very dangerous menace. Look at Indian Muslims. Even while having so much better economic prospects than Pakistani counterparts.. they still haven't been able to come terms with balancing theology and practicality. They don't care for the law except sharia. Their leaders are good if they show their influence to bend the constitutional Law to give priority to their sharia.
I might get hate for this, but it's the truth. And you can't learn it by having one or two muslim friends. Go live in their society or ghettos. Become part of their network. Extended family, closer than a friend.. you will realise it.
