Operation Sindoor: Aftermath

No need to give them a chance to be airborne would be better. Their aircraft already have very low availability rates thanks to RD/WS series engines, hit their maintenance hangars and runways and it is more or less enough to cripple their air force. There's a reason they went in for a rocket force. Utility of fighter jets is diminishing each passing day.

Astra Mk2 is at par with the AIM-120C-8/D-3 being given to Pakistanis.
Induct it en-masse, speed up Gandiva's development and shorten its test/induction cycle and get a few R-37M off the shelf from the Russians.
Have we inducted MK2 yet as an operational missile? No i think.

Hmm.. interesting.. So hellfire is not convinced that something is up. Let’s see what transpires. In the meantime, India declared another Notam —

He is talking a out development on Indian side. The post he referred to suggested indian troops forward deployment along LoC..

Have pakistan recieved D3 variant yet? No , I think!

This time it was very limited. I wonder how many pinaka rockets along with launchers army has in stock.

So in last 7-14 days..
a) RMs Karachi warning.
b) General's Geography warning
c) CAS jibe and video release showing key integration with Su-30
d) FM saying that hegemony is contested by Asia now.
e) EAM saying America needs to respect Indian red lines
f) Putin's statement giving space to Indian policy.
g) Taliban visit and Putin's visit.

Geopolitics is intensifying and india is finally not bowing down anymore. Things happen, but history remembers nation who stood up for themselves. They will forget 26/11 but OP sindoor will never be forgotten.

When the contract for 6 Pinaka regiments was signed back in Sept 2020, it was stipulated in the contract that all 6 regiments will be delivered by Sept 2024.
So safe to say IA has 10 operational regiments (180 launchers) and tens of thousands of rockets in their inventory.
EEL & MIL have an installed capacity of making 10,000 rockets annually.

Coupled with govt signalling more private involvement in rocket ammunition.. we definitely are getting ready for an eventuality.
I just hope they expidite AD systems like CIWS and such. 10 years.

Limited Series Production of the missile began 2 years ago.
Officially the induction hasn't happened, unofficially who knows.
LSP is for testing of various parameters i think. Astra MK1 also went through this ohase. Aslong as bulk orders are not placed, tge missile won't see action.

If the approach will be the same as Operation Sindoor, i.e., SEAD/DEAD operations followed by the IAF targeting the runways and hangars. Does PAF have any solution against S400, BrahMos, and drones? We should focus on indigenous weapons to compete against American and Chinese systems. we need to fast-track the integration of the indigenous systems like ASTRA MK2/MK3 and Rudram II/III/IV and also prioritize the work on cutting-edge technologies like hypersonic missile systems.

You don't need IAF to hit their runways. We have tonnes of TELs lying useless, and it makes more sense to use surface to surface missiles to hit their stationary targets like runways, hangars, air traffic control etc.

IA won't mind unloading an entire Prithvi missile group on these roaches, the missile platform is anyway nearing the end of its useful service life.
