Super conductivity in room temp .

Same news in video

an assistant professor named Ranga Dias at the University of Rochester in New York and his colleagues claim to have made a material from hydrogen, nitrogen, and lutetium that becomes superconductive at a temperature of just 69 degrees Fahrenheit and a pressure of 1 gigapascal.

This is claimed to be ground breaking event by some media . Dont know if it is . One of the use of practical superconductive material is in nuclear fusion .

Japanese spacecraft has found building blocks for RNA(amino acids) in a asteroid . That adds to the theory which says life on earth came from asteroids . Makes me wonder , all these asteroids shooting all over universe , must have found many planets in habitable zones . , there must be probability of life thousand , million or may be billion years older than ours .

Three years after it grabbed a sample of rock and soil from an asteroid floating in the vacuum of space, the Osiris-ReX mission is ready to drop it to Earth. The spacecraft will drop its sample under a parachute on September 24 . It ll make USA the second country to return samples from the surface of an asteroid after Japan. After releasing the sample, the spacecraft will not stop and will power on to its next target - asteroid Apophis.

IISc Researchers have designed a novel ultra-micro supercapacitor . new device is much smaller and more compact than existing supercapacitors and can potentially be used in many devices ranging from streetlights to consumer electronics, electric cars and medical devices. They found that under certain conditions, the capacitance increased by 3,000%.

A New Zealand-based space company, Dawn Aerospace, said Wednesday it had completed the first three test flights of a rocket-powered spaceplane. will eventually see this vehicle top out at about 20 kilometers. The goal is to fly the spaceplane to an altitude of 100 km, above the internationally recognized boundary of space.

In a lab buried around 2000 kilometres under the ground in Canada, scientists accidentally discovered antineutrinos using extremely pure water for the first time. While looking through the calibration data, the researchers picked up signals of an antineutrino that came from a nuclear power station hundreds of kilometres away. detectors such as SNO+ could be used to monitor the power output of a nuclear plant from a distance.

Microsoft is working on its own artificial intelligence chip, internally called "Athena," . Information suggests that Microsoft's goal is at least partly to save money on buying chips from suppliers like Nvidia. The Athena chips are reportedly designed to train LLMs and similar software, including inferring from data the models acquire in training. Microsoft isn't the first to make its own chips, of course. Google, Amazon and Meta are already among the tech behemoths that have invested in in-house silicon.
