Any fighter other than Rafale will push us 5-8 years behind effective fielding of fighters.

From production to maintenance to training tactics.. Rafale hold the time advantage outside the tender.

Engine deal + Tech support + price will deciding factor..

We ll select Rafale even if both EFT and Rafale offers are similar.

For EFT to win, they either must throw in the towel or Rafale have to push us out.
Or if Adani partners with Eurofighter GMBH

Even if they find MRFA too expensive, IAF still needs more Rafale. So, a repeat order of another 2-squadrons at a bare minimum is a given.

Anyways, I am still hoping that all pending defence items should go through now without any issue. Our indigenisation drive shall get stronger too.
Rafale IAF fleet will be 72 to 108 units. My opinion for years.

I beleive EF or F15 EX will win this tender this time, mainly due to low price range.
Yeah, especially on the logistics front, it'd be such a great move.

I would also advise getting some of Turkey's Kaan aircraft. A few KF-21 as well to complete the collection. Do you think Japan would export their F-2? You could get like a dozen of those. And also why not patch things up with Pakistan and get a dozen of JF-17.

IAF is not thinking the way you are saying, otherwise they would have gone for direct purchase.
Also,FYI IAF cannot reject or accept any aircraft on basis logistical constraints or ease in an open tender. Only technical parameters & L1 will decide the winner, not logistics. EFT already shortlisted last time along with Rafale, F15EX is a beast when comes to kinematics and is as good Rafale when comes to EW.
AFAIK, in last mmrca1 the difference between L1 & L2 bidder was not that much high, and 30% reduction in price will make a lot of changes.

If Turkey had good relationship with india, yeas Kaan would have offered . KF 21,again if it meets IAF's requirement why we shouldn't?
F2 is nothing but obese f16.

It's a Pakistani aircraft?since when?

Just like F35s are controlled by US and every time you need to go on a sortie you first reveal whether it's on patrol or Air show or you want to split do a Balakot on Pakistan and they will decide whether you can use it or not even after paying billions of dollars for the planes.

Sorry that's a bad choice....😡😬🤐
That thing won't happen if it comes through tendering process. In case of F35 the users were agreed for pre permission aka daily activation code, can't blame US if you are purchasing such product by agreeing their terms. We don't need to agree such terms when we are purchasing via open tender.

Rafale won MMRCA on price.....
F15EX : what is its price?
Rafale price is no more a problem. The Rafale bashing about its price is closed. It is in the price range of all the west twin engine fighters of that category.
Pakistan used F16 & amram against us,did US intervene?no.
Maybe after.
It may be the reason of the J10 purchase....

Apparently Greeks want to purchase more Rafales in a joint deal with India to gain better price quotations.

I used to think very highly about USA till the Pannu issue.

I heard someone saying that USA cares only about White lives & Israeli lives. After seeing the way they are shielding Pannu, I sadly believe that is true.

Just Imagine what they would have done, if Pannu (in his speeches) replaced Hindu with Jew/Christian and India with any white European nation or Canada.

No big American weapon system for India. Also- no big UK / German weapons too.

PAF wants F16,but they don't have fund for purchase. Hence J10 from china.

If Rafale turned out as cheap option among three, definitely it will win.

It is indeed on the greek agenda.
Note that it could be the third Rafale purchase frome Greece, and no news of F35 purchase.

But at the end F35 will be purchased, for 2 reasons :
- To please to US top brass
- To annoy Turkey :sneaky:

They have money for nuc and for chinese subs....
And It is possible to find F16 on the second hands market...

You cannot sell US made weapons to third country without US approval.

Telling France will not ready for such proposal.
"Sources said French company Dassault, makers of Rafale, which has been the frontrunner to bag the contract, is not keen to transfer technology for production in India"

More Rafales will come but this is indeed interesting because Dassault doesn't want any Indian stake-holder in their Indian factory.

Eurofighter and F-15EX's chances have gone up several notches cause both Euro Consortium and Boeing are desperate for sales. They are more likely to yield to all our demands.

Let's see how it all pans out!

I am thinking another way, somebody had purchased somebody so that mrfa get delayed forever & iaf will suffer in future conflicts . An aircraft which supposed to induct to so that the operational lacuna iaf saw I 1999 Kargil war will not repeat is not even inducted even in 2024. This 100% make in India for mrfa will furthervdelay the procedure again.

Either someone is willing to give ToT or we are scraping the MMRCA.

Rafale IAF fleet will be 36 units, because by the time they decide to buy more, we'll be in the next century and they'll be out of production.

Oh? But I thought that...
Deep State sees us as a threat. Nothing is going to change until they destroy both India and Russia. Both of us know this too.
So which is it? USA will give full TOT, or USA wants to destroy India?

Speaking of full TOT:
The Union government has been encouraged by its success in getting US company GE Aerospace Defence and Systems to produce fighter jet engines in India in collaboration with the state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd.

As per the deal signed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s last visit to the US, GE will transfer 80% technology of its F414 jet engines that will power the Mk2 version of India’s indigenously-developed Light Combat Aircraft.
So they have an agreement to get 80% TOT for an engine, and they think this means they'll get 100% TOT for an entire aircraft? Expectations need to be recalibrated, I think.

And reminder, it's not with Boeing or Eurofighter you have to negotiate; it's with the governments.
