HAL top brass seems technically incapable to me. For example they were talking about selling helicopters to Argentina, but in December Argentina has already announced buying Bell407. And also signed the order.

Although HAL secured servicing contract for Lama helicopters, but it's a failure on HALs top brass ranting in February about Argentina intersted in helicopters while Argentina has already bought Bell407.

Coming to Malaysian result, they have an edge that FA50 already has large number of orders in export and lower operational cost with Lockheed Martin as a backer.

So the moment only KAI and HAL were left, it was clear that Koreans will win. The fault lies on HAL for putting up false narrative that we may win.
