The IA put out press reports then that this particular border outpost was under 24x7 occupation with base camp not too far as well which means a shorter logistical chain.

This again highlights our woeful ISR network whether land or air or space based.
By this time we should have enough spy satellites to provide us real time data. Why are we still dependent on US for this ?

It's part of BECA and the other agreements. Americans have been sharing intelligence with us since 2018. This is kinda sensationalist piece.

We don't have the numbers up there, yet to reach the space technology levels enjoyed by US military, period.

Since 2008, however since Doklam crisis on LAC front.

I would pray for no war. Even if we give a befitting reply, the causality numbers will be huge.
That's the main reason we will never go to war specially when there is significant risk of casualties, not enough political strength politically. Said this long back during Galwan incident as well.

What technology we need to keep an eye on our border? How many satellites are needed ? Are you suggesting our satellites can’t capture high resolution pictures?

It’s not about competing with US. It’s about meeting our requirements.

We have the satellites which can do this surveillance to an extent, yes, however that only if we know what we are dealing with, so that we can align them over the target area as we don't have enough satellites to provide constant coverage at all times. There's nothing wrong in accepting that US is leader in not only having vast array of satellites constellation but also other sources of surveillance with high degree of information encryption and information fusion to reach a clearer picture thus giving the first mover advantage.

It's not like US is doing this out of charity but mutual benefit as we provide hands on human and technical intelligence in the regions they have difficulty accessing it.

To begin with SBIS which allows US to keep an eye on any use of rocketory and battle field informaion

Wrong answer. My question is whether we could have created adequate surveillance system? If yes, then why didn’t we.
I am absolutely sure we have the technology and resources to create this.

We are talking about detecting a bunch of Chinese soldiers. SBIRS is not required for that. Real time high resolution images are more than enough.
