Laser-based ‘Iron Beam’ interception system declared operational
System set to be delivered to IDF by end of year after successful final tests; defense minister says Israel 'first country to possess this capability'

Israel’s high-powered laser interception system, dubbed “Iron Beam,” has been declared operational after completing development and final tests, and is set to be delivered to the military by the end of the year, the Defense Ministry and manufacturer Rafael said on Wednesday.
This thing looks a lot like the laser system on the big truck the Chinks showed in their latest parade. I wonder how many kW it is.
The Naval variant was 100kW when unveiled earlier. Not aware of the land based one. It should be in the standard 50-100kW that most are aiming to be in.

This one is 100-150kw laser system( though scalable according to Israel).
Chinese one is more powerful, 300kw range.

The Israeli army has begun using mesh "grills" to protect military vehicles from Hezbollah's FPV drones. The first examples have been spotted on Hummer armored vehicles. While the mesh protects against drones, it can only withstand a few hits. It's not yet known whether these are factory-produced or prototypes.
