Indian AESA Radar Developments

Idk if someone shared it here already but while browsing LinkedIn page of Data Patterns I found some interesting things:

Looks like they Gan radar they made for Su 30, which they claim to have 2,700 TRMs.

This looks like a row of TRMs in the form of LRU, probably for the Su 30 GaN AESA radar they made.

They seem to have made a space object detection radar as well!!!!
Discussed before : Indian AESA Radar Developments

Its internal development has not yet been flight tested.

Seems to be some progress is made towards a TD proto @Rajput Lion

When I talked about India quite ahead in Photonics tech, some members of this forum laughed and called me overly nationalistic or simply overly optimistic. But now another cat is out of the bag @8:40 mark;)

yeah I watched that yesterday and thought same, since tender was issued for a slight scale up version before. So obviously one in house proto is available and fully tested.

How it different from LIDAR existingi some countries?
Totally different. LIDAR works on detection/identification with usage of Laser(in nm) while Photonics still uses RF waves(in GHz) like normal radars but that are generated with use of laser. Thus its frequency agility, resolution etc. are off the charts vis-a-vis normal AESA radars.

No, but we did give thought about tracking your J-20s by Virupaksha from 200kms away and blowing it via Gandiva at that distance. Got it;)
Let's install Indian radar on Tejas before talking about such illusory things.
The MAK1A has been delayed until February next year before it will be delivered to the IAF
You should talk about what already exists, not all the fancy visions you put on a promotional poster.

Our RnD process is very long and tiresome. True. But that's why our weapons perform flawlessly even in extreme conditions, unlike your Chinese weapons that are just pushed early in production to please your Communist dictator.

I hope you have heard about this phrase, "Slow and steady wins the race." ;)

Along with radars to track hypersonic projectiles, as said earlier we need space based assets to complement them. In the interview of Gen Shukla that @_Anonymous_ shared, Gen Shukla said India has no military presence in LEO. If that's true it must change.
The poor defence secretary trying his best to understand wtf he is looking at 😂. India should have IAS with technical background as defence secretary imo.

Let's say if the trials of the photonic radar goes well and it performs as per the expectations, then won't We be replacing the AESA radar's with photonic radar on our inventory? The photonic radar provides Good counter for the stealth targets

They require huge power.....range will be less but resolution will be insane.... I see only ground or Ship based platform using them.

Photonics based airborne radar for Su-30MKI & AMCA(later batches) is planned. Such a radar can work right from X band to Ka-band. This is absolutely revolutionary and thanks to its resolution and sensitivity or signal-to-noise ratio, it shall detect even ELO(6th gen stealth with RCS of -70dBsm) from quite far away.

Just call it revolutionary. So far only few select nations have even understood this tech, forget about developing a working prototype. That's how ahead we are in terms of radar tech.

PS: Let me tell you guys one more thing. Photonics based radar isn't the only high-end radar that we're developing. We're quite ahead in Quantum tech as well and very soon the world will hear regarding this;)
